So one more follow up question. Do I specifically need to book the trip as my seven stars trip or can I just show up with my Airline receipt and go to the caesar rewards desk and ask to cash in. I ask cause I have other offers as well.

My understanding is you can use with another offer, but you need to book the 7* trip as your host will need to coordinate getting the $500 folio set up.(that's what my host had told me)
I noticed the terms say must book at least 14days ahead, but not sure if that is really followed?

All they have to do is check the ticket # and see if it was used. I think actually lots of companies happen to read forums to learn how customers play the system. For old timers here Hunter read a lot of things we talked about how Caesars was just getting into social media. I am sure Cosmo checks things out also as MGM etc.

As far as someone getting more, if my wife and I come from Michigan and our flight cost $1200 and we get refunded $1200 that is a -0- balance the same as some one coming from Seattle for $700 and reimbursed $700.

I’ve done Caesars Las Vegas 4 times (including last November and last February) and no one checked anything as I booked, canceled and produced the receipt. I had no problems.

plus, many things could happen such as you missing your connection, flight cancellation, etc. not sure how them checking your flight confirmation proves anything really. I’d be able to bullshit my way through that lol

PreCOVID I have had Harrah's New Orleans check the validity of my ticket. There the hosts office (next to the Palm room) was in charge of reimbursements of flights and those hosts have some way to verifying the background of tickets -- they showed me the screen and it looked a little like the old "Sabre" system that some airlines or travel agents used. It was not the regular "interweb."

Up until 2 years ago no problem and actually I just emailed our host our receipt prior to leaving and everything was set. The last 2 years the person redeeming our tickets checked, it is what it is.

I just find it odd that I went last November and last February, and total rewards didn’t check or say anything to me. Also, my wife took in her $600 travel credit for diamond elite or whatever it’s called and no one said anything to her either. Wondering why we are experiencing two different things?

Can’t tell you but it is what happened. All they have to do is go back get on Delta’s website and check our ticket # to see if it was used. Watched her do it at Caesars in the Forum Casino booth. Harrah’s Tahoe was at the booth but she went to the back and said she had to verify.
We really have no problem with it. Like I said whether they reimburse you 1200 or 600 it doesn’t matter as you are getting you expenses back. I would hate to get caught but that’s just me.

I get that they could go to delta website and see if a confirmation number was used, however when I missed my flight, or they’ve canceled it, etc I’ve always been assigned a new confirmation number. Could always pull that out and it would show that ticket being used. Anyway, you say the “forum casino booth,” is that the same as the total rewards desk? I’m just trying to figure out the difference bc, as ive never been questioned and I book them and cancel each time. Never any issues which is why I’m surprised to see some responses in this thread. Just trying to Figure out what the differentiator is.

You are just lucky I guess but we don’t worry, like I said as our tickets are over 1200. Do what you do but if you get caught ....
Also yup the forum casino TR Booth is where we turned in our tickets for the free play vouchers to take to the cashier.

I actually had Caesars book my 7!star strip in January. I requested first class. It was not a problem at all. I preferred having them book it rather than me getting free play vouchers. I am not that hard up for a few hundreds bucks that I need to commit fraud by lying and cancelling trips. It's not worth it and a reason for them to strip your status.

Ok, can everyone agree to disagree:)
I think we'd all agree CET doesn't always follow their own rules.

I think CET following their own rules is a great assessment of the situation; different people have different rules. A whale is going to have different rules than me and me different from a platinum member and that’s just the way it is.

On the different rules point I was at Caesars a week or two ago and forgot to make a reservation for Homstead. I went over there, they were booked. I asked the hostess if she could do anything for me and she said no she was sorry but they were fully booked. I walked over to the host office, asked the host on duty if he could help. He called over there and said I was good to go. I walked back and the same lady who said she could do anything sat me at a table.

When it comes to “rules” at CET, if you ask five employees any slightly complicated or unusual question, you are going to get five different answers.

Different experiences with different employees at a TR booth is nothing new, in fact it is the norm. Attaboy is correct, the answer often depends on who you are and sometimes how you ask.

that’s funny bc this has happened to me as well on many occasions. Just happened in Aruba. Called a restaurant on property and they said they were booked. went back to the front desk and spoke with the manager who introduced herself when we arrived (we are ambassador status at Marriott) asking for us to let her know if there was anything she could do. I asked her for a reservation. She called and then asked me what time I wanted and it was booked for me.

also happened to me at Ruth’s Chris at harrahs Cherokee. Girls at the podium said they were booked. I said “well here’s my number, if someone cancels I’ll take it and I’ll tip you guys $50”. The other girl said immediately, what time do you want? I replied “around 8.” She said, “7:45 ok?” Done lol.
