Anyone else sick of all the slots with the pre-notification of a larger win? Usually they have some sort of sounds and animation after you hit the spin button but before the reals are shown. It makes me almost not look at the reals if I don't get the lucky notification.
I've never noticed this. Can you be more specific or cite an example? The only thing that I notice is when wheels keep spinning for a longer time than normal,. which indicates a random bonus.
Not exactly what you are referring to, but if it is the extra bells/video once you hit spin and before the win comes up... I love it. It means I am going to get a bonus round or free games and big hit. I always take a deep breath and sit back saying "Finally". But sometimes it is a not that big of a deal
Thinly veiled 'I've been hitting those big wins' thread... Never been unfortunate enough to hit one of these big wins you speak of
Not at all, on many games it just notifies of a bonus round or free games. or larger win. It's not like you are walking away with a hand pay when this occurs.
That is, as I noted in my original post, notification of a "random" jackpot hit. I have no problems with that.
I love the laughing Fu Babies that appear giggling on several games "Good Fortune has Arrived" or "Good Luck Has Arrived" depending on the game. That just signifies, as DaiLun pointed out, that you hit a PROC bonus, and it can mean free games, progressive, or just very larger than average line hit, so it makes me look at the reels more to see which it will be
I like it on the Wonka machine where the reels start spinning like crazy right before the Oompa Loompa bonus song. Same thing with the Flintstones slot right before the Yabba Dabba Doo bonus comes out. Whenever I see reels rapidly spin on a video slot I know good things are about to happen.
I don’t think these earlier indicators seen in mighty cash games or others that signal a big hit or bonus is coming takes the fun or mystery out of the game because you never know when it will hit or how big the win will be.
The "Billions" slot has some kind of video graphic before you hit one of the bonuses. I don't really watch the show so I can't remember what it is exactly. (Another example of a slot I love yet don't watch the show - Game of Thrones is another.)
I've never played the "offline" version in Vegas so it might be different, but the online Montezuma slot is bad for this. In the bonus there is a wheel at the top with multipliers that turns with every spin. Before the actual reels land the multiplier wheel will flash if its going to be a winning spin. Doesn't change anything as such but takes the anticipation away a few seconds early
