I agree with this almost 100%, except I would probably just make it an even 1000. if it hits you would profit 350 total if not you're in the hole 2k but have 25% chance at 18k profit.

The downside is this is likely the last time they will be a favorite which make hedging harder as you have to start betting more to recoup bets.

I use the PointsBet app, on some wagers they allow bettors to cash out early before the game.

Do casino based sports books offer that?

Great ideas being posted. Technically none of them are hedge options. Only real hedge options come into play if Bills make Super Bowl.. If Bills ticket pays 18k, bet other team money line in super bowl plus a couple more dollars of that team is favorite. That way no matter what happens you win more then original wager..

Actually, you could hedge now (but it would be a really bad hedge). It would require making wagers on the other seven teams all to win the super bowl.

A sportsbetting mentor of mine,an old-timer from Liverpool who served on merchant ships in WW11 and later won his passage cost to the States on a horse race...Always was an advocate of hedging. He'd say You have the book by the balls, don't give them a chance to get away..(In so many words and in that Liverpuglian accent) :)

You do not have to bet on all 7 teams.. Just the teams the Bills will play against.

Could also put a 1000 on the ravens to win the super bowl at 8-1 currently
After this weekend that would give put you 2000 invested with a chance at either 6000 or 17000 in profit
which you could again hedge next week, and then again.

True. But if the Bills win, you would want to keep on hedging the next game and, possibly the super bowl. Depends on the lines, but it might make more sense to hedge against the other playoff teams at this point (not sure what the odds are on Baltimore presently in the game this weekend other than them being a dog). Either way, its not a wager I would make

Starting to hedge now is like hitting 3 points on the firebet....why would you?

Whatever you do, if they're in the Super Bowl, you're going to kick yourself in the ass if they win and you hedge, and the same if you don't hedge and they lose.

Regardless, you're going to hear from those of us after the game to see what you did!

I really enjoy the different ways you can hedge a bet as you can get quite creative...if I was in your shoes I would probably just place some small bets on the teams they are up against depending on the lines. I'd be more than happy to hedge and win "only" $15k instead of $20k by not hedging...I'm not really into the 50/50 type hedge...I would rather have more weight on my original wager...so even 1k, 2k, and 2k or 3k over the next 3 games wouldn't be that hard to do as you'd still have a great win if the hedges were a waste of time.
