I think you hit it on the head -
    Perfectly !
    .
    And I'm not " bashing " LOVE.......just that....for me....hearing all
that Beatle music at once....was too repetitious for me.
......now, maybe if you are stoned ?......it's a different experience ?

I love seeing shows in Vegas- I first went to Vegas with my mom at age 18 so the shows was what I was super excited for. I love how over the top the theaters often are, you can't get that kind of production values even on Broadway.

    My list:

Phantom of the Opera Las Vegas- LOVED it. I've seen Phantom in NYC and London many times and the over the top Vegas version is still my favorite.
Celine Dion- OKAY. My mom likes her, I wouldn't have seen it myself.
Le Reve- OKAY. I don't remember much to be honest but at age 18 I was wowed by the theater.
Zumanity- LOVED it. Really cool acrobats, I like that it centered around a few people at a time and it wasn't hard to follow like other Cirque shows.
KA- OKAY. This was kind of hard to follow to be honest.
LOVE- OKAY. There was also too much going on like KA I felt.
Christina Aguilera- LOVED it. She was great! Really fun even from the worst seats.

    To see in the future:
    Lady Gaga
    Michael Jackson ONE
    O
    Mariah Carey

I also want to see one of those showgirl shows just to cross it off my list.

I really enjoyed it in LV. We were seated right where it looked like the chandelier piece was gonna hit us as the broken chandelier re-assembled itself.

However, even though they said that all of the music was in the abridged LV version of the play, I've very sure that the reprise of Music Of The Night was cut short!

Yeah I really wish they hadn't cut down Point of No Return, that's my favorite in the whole show! I loved the over the top theater though, I hope they have that in storage somewhere. That was worth the price of admission alone.

I never saw it in Vegas but was great on Broadway. It's been more than 20 years ago since I saw it, Michael Crawford was in it don't remember the female lead.

Probably been to 30 or so and the one that sticks out most certainly wasn't the most widely acclaimed. It was Vinnie Favorito. Hilarious in a crude way.
Also appreciated artistry of Le Reve and Mystere, but am one of rare few who did not appreciate Absinthe. Too much toilet humor for me, which sounds strange coming from a Vinnie Favorito fan.

Putting aside the marquee shows (Cirque, et al., though Love is absolutely my favorite show in Vegas), I'd say RRL and Postmodern Jukebox. On the former, back when Vegas Nocturne was there, I saw Butterbox the Beatbox and Piff the Magic Dragon, amongst others; Piff obviously went on to a ton of success. I also saw a version of Vegas Nocturne at some random burlesque club in NYC. On the latter, well, if you're not familiar with Postmodern Jukebox, you are truly missing out. I was there on opening night and actually sat next to Scott Bradlee.

Agree. There are shows I enjoy more than others -- I'd go to Love over Ka just about any day -- but it's just personal preference. I've seen Love a half-dozen times. And I'm spoiled for O due to seeing it from the production booth a couple times. Same goes for restaurants, especially when they start screwing with the menus, Stack used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas but they took all the stuff I like off the menu. It's not bad, I just don't care to go there as opposed to other places.
It wound up being Zarkana (which they brought in from a touring production) but was originally Viva Elvis.

The best show I ever saw was Clint Holmes at the Smith Center for his holiday show. I think it was 3 years ago. It was amazing and kept getting better.

I like Absinthe, but also prefer them not having those jokes, just simply and silently doing their acrobatics.

    Shows I'm glad I saw

Elvis with my parents in the 70s.(Hilton)
    Don Rickles (Sahara)
    Jerry Lewis (South Point)
Debbie Reynolds (South Point--her last show ever)
Allen and Rossi (Bob Stupak's Vegas World)
    Lido de Paris (Stardust)
    Jubilee! (Ballys)
    Folies Bergere (Trop)
EFX (MGM The David Cassidy Version)
    Danny Gans (Rio)
Spice on Ice (At the Hacienda no less)

I'm glad I saw them because sadly they're all gone. I'm also glad I saw Shecky Greene's last gig at South Point when he was 85 back in 2011. It was an amazing performance...he's still kicking at 94...but that was his last show.

My favorite was Rock of Ages, saw it 2x. I really like Carrot Top, I like to see him every other year or so. Concert wise, Journey and Def Leppard were great. J. Lo was ok. I've seen a few Cirque shows; MJ One tops my favorite list. I love live acts; so in some way, shape, or form, I've enjoyed them all.

Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford were the original leads, if you happened to see the show when it first opened. I'm not sure how long they performed together, but I also saw it on Broadway in NY after Michael and Sarah left the show. Although, it was still a great performance. I also saw Phantom again when it came to Chicago. I was hoping that they would continue the trend and bring more broadway shows to Vegas.

It’s been so long ago, but I do believe I saw it with both Sarah and Crawford. I’ve seen so many Broadway shows but not many recently. I think it’s been more than a year and a half at least since I saw a show on Broadway.

This is bringing back so many wonderful memories and I will probably forget a few.
    Concerts Highlights

Whitney Houston at a party on NYE in the old Club Rio. Small venue .I think it was 2000.

Rolling Stones twice at MGM Grand.
Eagles 3 times at MGM Grand .Last one was Hotel California album tour in 2019
Santana Hard Rock a couple times.
    Aerosmith MGM and Park
    Smokey Robinson
    Elton John
Rod Stewart It was free NYE party at MGM

Steely Dan and Hall and Oates in AC
    Vegas shows
The first time I took my wife to Vegas it was a whirlwind and we saw:

Wayne Newton when he did a short stint at the Luxor. He was past his prime.
Mystere ,It was first Cirque show and been back many times since. Still my favorite
The last night was Siegfried and Roy
    Pretty memorable trip.

Danny Gans at The STRAT when he was just starting in Vegas
Took my kids to see Starlight Express at the Hilton when Vegas was trying to be family friendly. My kids were standing and cheering during the last scene .I still smile remembering it.
Same trip , Blue Man Group

Clint Holmes at Harrah's ....great entertainer
    Cher Meh
Jubillee at Bally's it was a classic
    Human Nature
    Jersey Boys ...really enjoyed it.
Carrot Top...dragged my wife kicking and screaming a couple years ago. She loved it.
    Tom Jones at MGM
Saw all the Cirque shows except Elvis at Aria
Ka ,O and Zarkana were not good.
    Mystere and Love winners.
    Le Reve another winner.

Saw more comics than I can remember .Some great some not so great.
One of the most memorable was in the little dumpy theater in the old IP.
It was a hypnotist named Justin Tranz.
We were a group of 8 and 2 people ended up on the stage. Hilarious!

    Regret not seeing:
    Garth brooks
    Lady Gaga
    Bruno Mars
