Hey everyone! I’ve been lurking on this board for quite a while and thought it was time to start participating. I sense that I’m a little younger and less experienced than the average demographic on the board so this has been a wealth of great information. I live in Arlington, VA just outside DC and have been a regular at Borgata and Caesars AC, and now frequent MGM National Harbor, Hollywood Casino Charles Town, with a bit of (MD) Live! Casino and Horseshoe Baltimore mixed in.

    Thanks for having me!

I’m about 3 blocks off Glebe just a touch south of 50. Small world!

I lived near 395. It was over twenty years ago and back then, it was kind of a bad neighborhood. I quickly learned that if I wanted to play hoops at the park behind my apartment building, I needed to be friendly with kids from both gangs in the area. Even though I am pretty certain I was older than everyone I played with there, I learned to keep my mouth shut and share the ball a lot on offense. So all the teenagers tolerated me and basically let me play with them

Haha South Arlington is still pretty working class, but nothing I would consider bad

Yeah, definitely not like that anymore. I live in the shirlngton area and you won't find a house under half a million for a reason, it's been gentrified and has the amenities of North Arlington, at half the prices and without the elitist attitudes that are pervasive north of 50. Takes me 5-10 minutes to get into DC and other than the Nauck area, almost all of South Arlington is quite nice these days.

Yup I’m in Arlington Heights and I routinely taking public transportation home from work or walking to 7-11 at 12 1 2 in the morning. Definitely not as vanilla as North Arlington but I always feel safe... I’m also from PG Co MD so my standard might be a little different haha

    Welcome @WishMeLuck89 .

It's interesting to me you say you're from DC. When I meet people in Vegas and say I'm from B.C., they often hear DC,

I've spent many conversations hearing about DC before I've been able to explain I'm from B.C., Canada.

I've enjoyed hearing about where you live.

Welcome! I used to live in Alexandria, VA - left when MGM Nat'l Harbor was almost finished. I miss the winters there, but not the drivers!
