I will be going from the second vaccine shot to the airport.
    Five hours later McCarran Intl.
This has been the longest period of no travel in 20 years.
I am fighting lockdown fatigue every day.
Back in the summer ,I said no interest in going when masks are required etc. Now I don't care.
    Gimme the shot and SeeYa.!!!

I went in February before things started to get scary. Then the shutdown. Went in August and enjoyed myself. Rebooked for Oct. but got a better offer and rescheduled for November and had a blast. Just got back from December trip. I’ll take appropriate precautions but I don’t need Vegas to give me a good time. Everyone in my family has died of cancer, so I figure I have that death sentence hanging over my head anyway. I’ll make my own good time while I’m still able to.

I had planned to be there last week... unfortunately with the 14 day quarantine upon return to Canada piggy backed with the not knowing if Sisolak was going to shut 'er down Tuesday I decided not to go.
As soon as Canada, and/or Ontario, reduces to quarantine time I will go. Hopefully the CDC reducing the time to 7 or 10 days catches on.

I've been to Vegas 6 times this year. 4 during the Rona pandemic. Excepting an invitation to hang out with someone I know or for a business reason, not going back until it is mostly back to normal. By normal I mean conventions are happening again, most restaurants and bars are open even on weekdays, shows are back, masks are optional everywhere, capacity limits are 100% of normal, the distancing stickers are gone, etc. If that means March, July, or next year, so be it.

    November- hopefully 2021!

Not before. There is NO safe haven in America now, will not be until at least summer, so as a Senior, I’m taking ZERO chances.

And the political situation has FUBARed the acceptance of an anti plague vaccine so badly, I am sceptical about a significant majority of Americans getting it.

And, I’m 100% behind Airlines demanding proof of vaccine, prior to being a passenger!

I still have my flight/hotel reservations, but I'm beginning to wonder whether I will ever get to go back. The flu has been with us for a very long time. We have annual vaccinations for various strains and still people die from it. Now Great Britain has a mutated corona virus that has caused them to lock down. As much as I would like to think that getting my two covid vaccinations is going to make this whole thing go away, I'm beginning to wonder whether covid, like the flu is something we'll be dealing with for a very long time. :( Yeah, I know...I should think positive!

I’m trying to be optimistic that the timeline will shorten so we can celebrate my 60th in Vegas in August. Have spent every milestone birthday in Vegas since my 21st. If not, guess we’ll have a late party.

I’ll be returning on Dec. 27th.

In 2020 I’ve been there in Jan., Feb., June, July, August, Sept., Oct., and Nov.

The gap between my February and June trips was my longest stretch of no-Vegas in years. Damn you shutdown!

I mainly go to Vegas to gamble, eat and drink. COVID hasn’t really affected my ability to do any of that.

I will go after I get the vaccine, and also the numbers of cases drop. I am not interested in sending a lot of money and time needing to wear a mask.

End of February/First of March for me. Was just there over Halloween weekend and had a great time despite masks and distancing. I'm ready to get my Vegas on again in 2 months.

I've cancelled 3-4 times already and am currently slated for end of March. While I doubt I'm lucky enough to get the vaccine by then, others will so perhaps it will be, at least in theory, somewhat safer. Plus 1.5+ years since my last trip, I really have the itch lol.
