Does anyone have experience with a room at The Cal with a good view of The Plaza? I would assume that a high floor in the west tower facing northwest would be the best bet to watch their NYE fireworks, but I could be wrong. Thanks in advance for any advice
To see Plaza yeah, but the Cal rooms face northwest or southeast, unless there is one room on each floor in each tower that faces northeast or southwest. I'm cornfused myself now.
@TJC, So just to clarify, this is for next year? It says NYE 2021. This article that Sonya posted in another thread was from last week. https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/local-las-vegas/downtown/new-years-eve-party-plans-for-downtown-las-vegas-blocked-2202325/
Hey, that looks like the view I had the other day. I was in room 2006. I think the window can open so you can stick your camera out the window but I didn't try it. But unfortunately even though my floor was non smoking I could still smell the cig smoke.
I took this photo a couple of years ago but can't remember from which tower or if it's Cal or Main Street
nfc, better enjoy your picture with the million dollars at binions because that area is no more. No more million dollars. Guess they needed the money to pay their bills, lol. That area now contains gaming machines.
MSS. Odd # rooms are perpendicular to the Plaza. Cal rooms would have a diagonal view, unless they have some corner suites up top.
Go out on Main Street sidewalk. Look up!! Or is there possibly the desire for more than just a view ?? that guy>>>
Haha! No, I won't be awake at midnight, so I will probably leave the shutters open so if the noise don't wake me up, the lights from the fireworks will...might... hopefully
I appreciate the well wishes, but the biggest thrill of the night would be if I'm still awake for the actual fireworks. [Insert wawawawaaaah sound here]
