We went in mid-October and enjoyed ourselves but not like pre-Covid. Next trip is planned for mid-May.

Tomorrow... I’m comfortable with masking, hand washing, barriers, and social distancing. When the vaccine is available I’ll get it.

Well currently I have trips planned for mid March and mid April. I will see where things are at at that point and maybe cancel one or both. If neither of those trips happen the I won't be back until next October over Halloween. Too many things from 2020 have been rescheduled from May through October to fit in LV.

We made the decision to keep our trip, arriving Friday departing Christmas Eve.

We're driving ourselves to LV from Houston, TX. Lots of outdoor activities once we get to the LV Valley. We will not be eating out at restaurants. All food will be takeout and brought to the car and/or room.

Poker rooms have become super active in town and I have sincerely missed playing poker. Wife is likely going to spend more of her time in the room.

I think the hotels are just starting to price that in. I only have one example.

I booked an August stay at Vdara 11 days ago, a Corner Suite with fountain view. The crossed out prices in the screenshot below are the full retail prices the day I booked:

This is what they are now...$272 more.

Yeah, I have a feeling we're going to see more and more of that. That kind of thinking could backfire. Good prices mean I go often, high prices mean I cut back on number of Vegas trips and go local where I stay for free. But to those that price makes no difference, it won't matter. Those are the folks they want anyway. :)

When pools are open. Right now, I am comped for early June at Flamingo. I tried my best to make Vegas fun this year, but was spinning my wheels in the mud. It's a waiting game, moving forward.

We are booked for late may. I work in Healthcare so hope to get vaccinated earlier, but we were booked in December and only cancelled because of travel restrictions coming home. If the restrictions coming back to PA were lifted we would have absolutely gone for our December trip as we are both young, but the mandatory 14 day (now 10) was too much for us. The May trip is happening.

I think they'll play a game... Jack the prices up now, as anyone looking at Vegas now for 5+ months out is someone who probably reeeeeeeeally wants to go to Vegas, pandemic be damned... and then pull it back as we inch closer depending on demand.

Even once we get out of this and are in a better place medically? There are still a lot of people struggling financially, so I think we'll see something similar to the aftermath of the housing bubble/price wise.

When masks aren't required, and after the wife and I get the shot.

I'll go back when MSS opens and I don't have to wear a mask.
    Good luck. :beer::beer:

I wonder if things go back to normal even with the vaccine. For example, buffets. If buffets don't return, isn't it like saying Yeah there's a vaccine, but we can't risk it. Or, for whatever reason they don't want to reopen them and use this as an excuse not to. Another example, both locals have gone to nonsmoking to help prevent covid spread. I wonder if they go back, or if this is their chance to make that change permanent. Or maybe there's a disinfecting fee, kind of like the TSA $5.60. I put nothing past them. It will be interesting to see what happens. Things changed permanently with 911, so it just makes sense we'll see some things stick...whether necessary or just because they can.

I will go again once I see a consistent downward trend on Covid-19 numbers.
I went back in August and had no problem wearing masks and sanitizing all day, but will avoid center strip.

I don’t need a perfect scenario to return. Just something that resembles the Vegas we all know. The “mask” has become second nature to me...I’ve accepted it as a part of life right now.

Normal? Who knows when that will be??? I won’t wait that long.
