Let me know I am in a similar situation with 679 tier credits 71 short of maintaining sapphire .
If I had been able to travel this could have been achieved easily.

We haven’t been to Vegas since Christmas last year. My sapphire card expiration was initially extended to 12/31/2020. Now it has been again tended to 12/32/2021.

What else would you expect from Boyd?

Nothing new here yet, not even a Happy Holidays email, but I'll keep checking. I'd really like my card extended to 12/32/2021. That's terrific!

You know, I was just thinking. Boyds won't even give Ruby card holders points playing Stardust. That is just so weird. (you have to read the tiny print at the bottom)

As stated in post #20, I messaged Boyd to see if they would kindly donate 75 tier credits or extend the date so I could maintain Sapphire for next year. I mentioned that I've been a loyal Boyd customer for decades, my "advanced" age, and that the pandemic is the only reason for not going to any casinos this year – all true statements. I didn't expect to hear back, but received an email last night that they're "gifting" me Sapphire status until the end of December 2021! And yes, my card now shows the new date on the BConnected site. :)

I can't be sure that the note I received is different than what others may have received, but either way, I'm very happy not to have to start over at Ruby. The note also said to contact them before my next visit and they'll return my points to my account! I only have around 10K, as I cashed out over a year ago, but as one who still picks found pennies off the ground, I'll take it!

Okay, it's not like winning the lottery, but any kind of good news is most welcome this year. Can't wait to get vaccinated and go back.

That is terrific news. As I find myself in the same position, would you mind sharing how you contacted Boyd to make your request. Did you have a personal email address of a host or did you just use the 'Contact Us' function on their website? I've tried contacting them before without much success.

Phnut: Not having a host or other "friendly" contact, I simply used BConnected under Accounts / Contact Us. There's a pull-down to select the property, and I sent the same note to the few I frequent the most. The reply came from my home property and I emailed a thank you note this morning. Good luck!

That's great news for you, Turtleman. That said, year end is in 2 weeks. Surely they must know what they're going to do without each individual having to contact them and ask for an extension. I'm making reservations now for next year and I'd like to know whether Boyds wants my business or not. I have 677 tier points. If they wipe them and make me Ruby, it definitely will make a difference on where I want to stay and play.

Thanks Turtleman, I've used that way before without receiving a response, but will try again as you have had success. The benefits aren't huge but dropping to Ruby would definitely discourage me from staying or playing at Boyd again, particularly as other Brands have been pretty good with extending Tiers and Points.
