It was inspired by @luck.ofthe.draw having the wrong camera selected on her cell phone while trying to get a regular selfie with the ocean in the background and pointing out hey that looks kinda cool though, so I took the shadow pic

I somehow remember last time @luck.ofthe.draw had a connection at DFW, she also had trouble. Bad place.

After a SNAFU like that, I hope your JSX experience is smooth as silk-
just the lack of the "airport experience" is incredible..

One caveat, drivers aren't so familiar with the terminal location on either side, so you might want to get the addresses handy to help them out.

That being said, we showed :30 early both times, but the apparent regulars were strolling in all casual like :10 before flight time..
(no more booze in the waiting area, you gotta get on the flight-
and drink kind of fast, think both our flights were :10 faster than scheduled)

Yah her trouble may or may not have been related to beer and barbeque followed by poor directions. The whole layout of that place is probably pretty convenient for locals with parking and multiple TSA checkpoints at each individual terminal, but it's horrible as a transfer hub because its massive and yet the whole place is a long skinny hallway that lacks big open space and common areas that would be good for distancing. After my flight schedule changes, my layover was scheduled to be 3h 35m and I actually left the secure area went outside and sat on the curb by a loading dock for 2 hours because it was the only place I could distance 6 feet from people, but of course once I got back in through security with time to spare, I ended up caught in the crowd of a sold out plane for another 2 hours while they made us parade around the terminal. If I'm flying American I strongly prefer to go through there vs Charlotte because Charlotte is an hour in the wrong direction, and American flies mostly older USAir hardware through Charlotte whereas you get a lot of the newer stuff through Dallas. So I have a love hate with it. Hate the airport, but it gets me all points west and back about 90 minutes quicker on most trips.

 

Thanks for the advice. We have the terminal address for both ends. Luck's mom is driving us to Burbank, because we're both 12. There will be a fight over the front seat.

And probably going to uber from Koval to Cosmo. Not doing my normal limo thing because that kind of money for what 4 or 5 blocks...my frugal side just couldnt do it.

 

Oh believe me, I'm getting the fuck outta California within the next 365 days.
The homeless population here, and SF is just....somethin else. Sadly it comes with the territory these days. Other than that....episode, the beach looked fuckin' amazing, the pier was nice and not super crowded, the walk over was busy but not as busy as it normally is there.

 

I got a little (lot) teary when I clicked on your video; my Daddy used to sing that song while playing guitar and it suddenly hit me; it will soon be 26 years on December 2nd since we lost him.

On to happy thoughts; have a fabulous time with LOTD. I will live vicariously through you both. Tell Cosmo I love and miss it and reeeeeeally hope to see it soon. Christmas trip canceled

 

Bre I will send you pictures but maybe I'll just live in our suite at Cos the whole time, and take a million bubble baths.

(@serenasea - Jackson has been pretty darn good this whole time! No major hiding under the bed episodes. Last night he'd follow M around, curious, then dash away. Chloe on the other hand is a social butterfly and has been real sweet. We just finished a movie and Jax left me to cuddle M! Whaaaat. Chloe is by my head hahaha)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat stand flat-footed, especially when reaching up! That’s adorable! Have a great trip!

 

I just got done re-packing and showering. T minus about 2 hours until we finally head to the airport. I slept in until after noon eastern yesterday which is very uncharacteristic of me, but was bright eyed and bushy tailed at 5am pacific this morning just browsing VMB and playing slot games on my phone.

@luck.ofthe.draw is making us brunch now after a yummy dinner last night. *swoon* lol and she likes illegal purse beers! What a catch!

She made me this last night and it was real good. Honey baked ham and she made a savoury bread pudding concoction on the fly that was probably the best part. I also got Jack in the Box yesterday, which I had often when I was a wee little Mcann, but they pulled out of Florida entirely in the late 70s or early 80s and I hadn't had it since.



I packed a small little piddling portion of PPE for this trip...



And I got my lucky wrist band on, scheduled an uber for pickup on the other end and I am ready to goooooooo!!!

 

Tough shit fool, you're stuck at my house. With my cats. Foreverrrrrr.

Jk jk we leave at some point. Cannot waaaait.
