Nice TR with some great pics!

I was showing my husband some of your photos yesterday because of the great quality. He says he needs a new camera. The Nikon Coolpix have always been high on his list (I think the current camera is one) so we'll add the B500 to ones to consider.

Thank you for the excellent report and pics. Was the Aria Room a resort room? And if so, what amenities does for room offer?

The reservation says "Deluxe King Room." Can't really think of any special amenities other than the tablet that controls the window curtains, room lighting, etc., which is standard for all Aria rooms afaik.

Thanks for the TR and the great photos. My last trip in September I stayed at the Aria and pretty much agree with you on how they did things regarding COVID but I don’t remember the tablet in the room, I seem to remember the controls being on the wall by the bed, but I could be wrong!! I did like how they had the hand washing stations in the casino, wish all the casinos did that and I’m even talking about before the pandemic. I’ve only stopped in mesquite a few times for a quick break driving thru on the way to Vegas but I’ve always thought it looked like a nice area, not to crowded but big enough plus not to far from Vegas.

Nice report, wonderful pictures. Glad to see you liked the Sahara Bloody Marys, I've been a big fan of theirs for quite awhile.

Nice pics. Another Mesquite course that looks well worth playing.... at this rate it looks like I might have to seriously think about getting a room out there for a few days and do it properly. Wolf Creek, Coyote Springs, Conestoga, Falcon Ridge and Oasis, probably in that order? I don't think I can drive back to the strip 5 times in one trip from Mesquite - 36 holes day 1, 36 holes day 2, checkout and 18 holes back on Day 3 sounds amazing, but that might be my mind writing checks that my body can no longer cash.

Coyote Springs is not in Mesquite; it's off on its own, so probably schedule that on the way to Mesquite or on the way back to Vegas for maximum efficiency.

I haven't played Falcon Ridge but the rest of your order is pretty much how I would rank them, with Oasis Palmer ranking above Oasis Canyons. (As I mentioned in the report.)

I've also played Casablanca and Coyote Willows (9 holes) in Mesquite, but they'd be behind all the others already mentioned. Still decent, though!

If you liked old Vegas, you should have no problem enjoying a few days in Mesquite. I really was hoping to play some VP at Virgin River Casino this trip, but ended up not having time before golf, and after golf I was ready to get back to Vegas for my fish and chips. I really enjoy the "throwback" feel in that casino.

I did like old vegas very much, old vegas done right. Not so keen on the bits of medicore vegas that has not had any love for 40 years, all part of the 'charm' I guess. I think part of the problem is that to fly international and I usually stay for 2 weeks, I'm going to go through plenty of money and I might as well get stuck into it or not bother coming. Eating a dodgy burger and spending 3 days in bed isn't the best idea, the cost per day for me to visit means I might as well 'take insurance' and have the $20 burger. That said, I took a look on Trip Advisor just now for Mesquite hotels, nothing looks jaw dropping but probably Casablanca (?) and that would be good enough to store the golf clubs, hit the casino, try the steakhouse and crash out. I've got lots of myvegas LP, I need to look at the Ts&Cs for how many nights I can squeeze out of that, it might be that my suitcases enjoy the Aria f.o.c. for 2 nights while I hit Mesquite... something like that.

Anyway, glad you had a good trip, thanks for the TR, enjoyed reading and as always, the pics were stellar.

I had to chime in and say great pics as a few others had. Really makes me miss exploring Las Vegas and the surrounding area.

Thanks for your report and I totally agree with your positive opinions of Mesquite’sgolf courses! IMO they have some courses that are so under appreciated, Especially the Conestoga and Wolf Creek courses. Beautiful pics!

Thanks for sharing. I'm not much of a golfer, but I'm so impressed by your golf photos! They are fabulous! Makes me want to get out on the course one more time this year before it gets too cold.

I halfway agree with "under appreciated." I think Wolf Creek gets lots of love but Conestoga is definitely a bit under the radar. The guys I was playing Oasis with were in Mesquite for a few days and acted like they hadn't even heard of it when I told them how good it is.

Thanks Eliza. I just realized I didn't even post one of my favorite golf photos from the trip. This is the green complex of the par-4 6th at Oasis (Palmer). It's so beautiful, tucked into a stunning sandstone cove.
