My wife and I have been pretty loyal Mlife members for several years now. On one of our last trips we played at the V/P for a short amount of time. She signed up for a Grazie card that day and I've had one for a couple of years. Since then they have sent my wife comp offers of 3 nights per stay. The only thing that I have received is a casino rate offer.

Now on to my question. We are staying at the Venetian on one of her offers, should we both play (simultaneously if possible) on her card or should we just play on our own card?

My goal is to have V/P as our second home as far as comped rooms go.

    Thanks!

IMHO, if you always travel to las Vegas together, then stay on her card. If you occasionally travel solo. Play until you make Grazie Gold on one card, then switch to the other.

    Thanks DaiLun!

One more question, can we play on her card simultaneously at different machines?

    Thanks again!

@Treb Yes, you can play on multiple cards of the same account simultaneously at the machines, but not at the tables.

They sent your wife a teaser offer, so if you can keep up the play needed to retain future offers, then I would play on her card. My offers are about $225 freeplay (with combinations of food credit) and 3 nights, and I do 4 hours a day at $1 video poker or $3 slots. But I figure you could play less for the 3 free nights.

Yes, Just have your wife get extra cards on her account at the players club and you can play separately on slots and VP.

If you play table games you need to each use your own card accounts.

My husband and I do this to get better offers with more freeplay and food credits.

    Basically agree with @DaiLun .

Since she is currently getting the better offer even if it's a teaser, unless you do really long trips and want to stay there twice during a single trip, the best thing to do right now is book her offer and then put all your play on her card when you're traveling together.

If you booked a reservation under one of her offers and then put all your play on YOUR card in order to try to boost your own offers:
    1. Her offers will probably drop, besides which,
    2. Do you really need two sets of offers? Not if you always travel together and you're only ever going to be using one offer per trip.

If you do anticipate occasionally taking a solo trip yourself, I'd maybe bite the bullet and book casino rate under one of your own offers, play on your card (even if you're both on the trip), and take it from there. In that scenario, they won't even know she's there on the trip, so it won't hurt her offers.

We used to have this problem. My wife’s offers where better from a teaser. I finally moved all play to my card because I am the only one that plays tables. My wife will sometimes piggyback my craps bets and the pit boss has historically allowed her bets to be included in my bet.
So what I am saying is if you play tables and she doesn’t it might be best to put all play on the card of the person that plays tables.

    That's a good point.

I think it matters what the ratio is, both in terms of his/her individual bankrolls and what they play.

Like if he's playing 90% $25 craps for 6 hours a day and she's playing 100% 60 cent Buffalo for 2 hours a day, then it might make sense to use his card for everything.

But if he's playing 50% $10 craps for 2 hours and 50% low denom slots for 2 hrs and she's playing 100% 60 cent Buffalo for 6 hrs a day, then it probably shifts back to her.

If the offers they currently have are based on a day where they didn't necessarily play their full normal bankroll levels and time, but at least the TYPE of play they did was generally representative of how they'd play, then for now, it looks like her play garners more comps.

It would help a little to have more details on what he thinks they both played that day.

    This board is the best!
@Chuck2009x We do generally travel together so I think as you all outlined above our best option at V/P is to play on her card.

The day that she signed up for her card we both played slots for an hour or so with an avg bet of $1.50 - $2.00

To be honest, and IMHO, that amount of play may not be enough to sustain your comps at V/P. Even 2 hours at an average bet of $1.50-2.00 per day is a little light for that property.

@DaiLun understood. That isn't our level of play where we stay at, it was just an afternoon walkthrough. Thanks again.

@Treb23 You're probably already aware of this, but the video poker paytables at Venetian/Palazzo are terrible, even at the $5 level.

Another option would be to take advantage of as many offers as you can without playing, until they die down (V/P usually extends offers 3 months in advance), then wait for them to be bought out and have the new owners send a new batch of offers to reassure existing players that nothing will change, etc., etc.
