I've heard mention of craps, but no craps stories or minimums shared. How rude!

Did Dueces Wild come back to the D along with UTH?

I'll be there next month! Maybe I'll have a Ty spotting as well!

No UTH. Not sure about dueces wild as I didn’t know to look for it. You can’t touch the cards at the D so they removed it completely )uth( until things change. No one was really certain WHAT needs to happen for change but that is the way it is now. Finished with Ty”s promotion and moving onward....

Good stuff so far! Nice that Cal sports book has Lil Sumpin Sumpin. The Mega bar also had Founders Breakfast Stout too and a couple of Vegas beers. But I hoped for better selection from the pic I saw.

    A recap of Tuesday 11/10....
Sleeping great :snore: this trip. Usually toss and turn but last night again was restful and refreshing..... woke up and  did the morning chores. Love the hot water / pressure :woohoo: and performance of the a/c-heat which I attribute to fewer guests demands on the facilities Made it down to the sports bar in time to chat with Keith the bartender EBAC54F3-CC85-44BB-A439-AA16E56F0AAC.jpeg as he  applauded my presence upon his exit. Promised to get down earlier tomorrow. He’s a very relaxed and informal guy to greet the morning with; in a manly sort of way :woot: of course.
Met Ty and headed over to the Magnolia cafe :feedme: for breakfast. No line but upon leaving 45 minutes later or so, line down to the floor  was observed. I had promised Ty breakfast away from Paradise  and a treat on me after the Pizza Rock business dinner the night before.
It was strangely different. No packets of salt or pepper. Actual shakers. :) Coffee was strong and service very much on par with previous visits. We sat in a booth overlooking the casino separated by plexiglass dividers. It was nice being able to speak  in other than hushed tones as to the nefarious deeds :wink2: which would be attempted this day. Food was ordered and coffee slurped as the plot thickened.
Each new cup requested came with a new cup. No pouring from the pot this day. But the whole environment was 180 degrees from our previous breakfast. Ahh, the food. I only had toast ;) as my boyish figure was attempting to burst my buttons while Ty said to hell with that, let’s gamble—:poker: so we doubled down F25F001C-842F-43E3-AF03-50C4C84D2193.jpeg 37E8F8BC-74D9-49BC-ACE6-6F41CFC6FD93.jpeg my toast apparently came from France but I have no trouble going international if necessary for peace on earth. It was quite good. As usually it is.

Ty suggested a minimally disguised form of indentured relationship to follow if possible. He again would pay for the meal IF I would join him in a plot to acquire XxX coin in for the day at the 4QUEENS on the advertised 6/9 video poker. I had planned to play anyway so I agreed to be his accomplice since my belly was full and I had little chance of getting very far with any speed anyway. So back to the cal to father our wits and reorganize the room (today was maid day).
And coffee causes not only for your head to clear but can provide small little reminders of Mother Nature and her insistence that one clean out one’s system totally soon thereafter. I have given up trying to fool Mother Nature so I complied. o_O
Returning to the task at 4Queens we passed once again the object of our scorn each trip....the dreaded step to hell if one was not attentive. 2FAEF735-B008-4FA2-9D5F-A57BCE9EE02E.jpeg Seems someone :snore: didn’t read ALL the directions and the face plant had thus become a possibility to observe each time this route was taken.
We deftly bypassed the danger and settled in our seats. First problem was I sat at a 25 cent only game which would have increase my time in service 4 fold. Luckily I noticed after 10 hands or so. Not sure how long it took but the shout of “Eureka!!” was the signal our journey had ended. Many of the conquests can be viewed in Ty’s trip report to the Cal.
We then left to stroll through the D on the way to the L Cortez :headbang: for redemption of my 40$ free play. Ty felt sympathy toward the plight of the L and chose to not redeem his for megabucks....sweet guy.
Got 29$ from Keno on 40 and met a waitress who much preferred tequila although her clothes were not falling off.
Back to the California and it’s wide open spaces for play (although it did seem more populated this afternoon). Went to the Liani(?) Express for some nourishment to tide us over until dinner. I think my sampling :vomit: will tide me over for the foreseeable future thank you. Some may be able to tolerate it but I feel it is an acquired taste over time and time is of the essence at my age so I fear I missed the exit to THIS island of taste bud paradise. It was just not compatible with my “delicate” diet.
Back to the California we played some JoB at the $ level but refrained from posting the hits as (for me) there were few and after all, it was $ JoB...
We adjourned to Magnolia cafe for prime rib specials and it was quite acceptable. Ty added a shrimp cocktail and it appeared to be satisfactory. Service was good and Ty had a discount coupon + the players card discount and a discount for just being a couple of really attuned gamblers, it was practically free...but not totally.
Back to the California for a little more of the rinse and repeat cycle and I hit the elevator for the last time about 9:30 or so. Ty had managed to garner a couple of tickets 02A11451-2861-4B25-A7A3-5C58A8B2F688.jpeg for me but they are securely affixed and won’t be revealed until I get home and access the staple remover. He decided being his last hurrah and leaving tomorrow he would venture once more for a farewell drink downstairs. As he was onnthen21st floor and I was on the 15th, I ventured to go down as well just not stairs nor all the way down.
I see where he posted making it to the airport so I am relieved he was able find his way back upstairs at some point.
Never did find out the contents of the bag BUT it is used solely on gambling trips. It has many pockets and easily accessible and appeared to have no weapons enclosed but I still could not rule out the final landing place of the Binions’ 1,000,000 $’s (100-10,000 bills) in some nook or cranny. Apparently from his report from the airport it may be a game changer if he has acquired a new “bag”. E859205B-F94F-4557-826A-F8B4B5809FF5.jpeg Time will tell.

Going the safe route this morning with eggs over easy toast and orange juice. It ain’t paradise but it’s edible. Curiously, egged any style with bacon is 10.99. Eggs ala carte are 1.99 each and bacon order is 3.99. :blah: Seems a bit off but maybe single items are smaller size. We’ll see.

Ah yes, the good old Lanai Express. Hardly a place to just get nourishment to tide over until dinner. They serve gigantic portions. Wife and I split a 2 item Chinese Combo.
    https://www.fremontcasino.com/whats-new/offers/lanai-express-2-item-combo

If we had each ordered one, it would have killed us. Not sure what you ordered but the combo of orange chicken and fried rice was quite good. After seeing pics of the breakfast you guys had, I would have been good until dinner.

    Day 4—

went to do my duty at the 4Queens on the promotion. Put in 638 points worth (no wingman) and got the 30$ free play and 10$ food credit used this am for breakfast. Lucked out again as the line was down the steps when I left and a socially distanced line can be quite substantial. Can be. This one was not and looked like about 6 parties awaiting morning nourishment. But that was today.
Day 4 started out (as stated previously) at the Paradise Cafe. Service was good and the order correctly placed and delivered. Big deal? Yeah....at this place it’s a crap shoot without the stick or dice. I felt like a winner for about 45 minutes.
Went by the host desk but no sign of her as this was allegedly her first day back from a 3 day weekend using up vacation time which would have expired had she not. So sojourned on to the 4Queens. Played dollar JoB for the offer and finished in about 2 1/2 hours of slow sober play. No royal. No straight flush. Just boring 4oak’s and stuff like that. ACC085D3-C8E7-421E-9977-38834385FE4E.jpeg ED948816-240E-4F44-BFCE-FD1D0D7A47AA.jpeg E2EC3735-5A0C-48CC-8AA2-44EEA2E87CFE.jpeg BED4C827-17AF-4A19-AF1B-9E1942679861.jpeg 97808ADF-A42B-4F80-9C61-1D7E1E307B05.jpeg There were more but after awhile the numbers and faces change but they all look the same. Sorta.
So took the freeplay and made 35$ off the 30$ with no significant hits.
It was now time to head back to the cal and play at the bar and have a couple of lil sumpin’s or whatever it’s called. It was very sparse in attendance. Sat in seat #1. Played 25 cent ddb. Up down up down finished down about 35$ (a familiar number from earlier play which seemed only fair). Came CLOSE to RF and each time they ALMOST paid me for the effort.
    Now the results—-
These were all as I managed to be cognizant enough to take a picture when needed but again no RF. Mainly played until the market street cafe opened at 5:00. According to the time stamps on the pictures I started around 1:45 and went to eat at 5:17. Had 4 beers Barbie the bartender said she thought I was a slow drinker compared to those usually frequenting the bar. Almost made me feel I had my alcohol intake under control but in vegas I would think she was just being nice. F98BB191-009D-4323-A10F-A2A0991EBE31.jpeg BB4D0B28-C385-4F76-BCCC-E4E3E72A6B29.jpeg DFF8189B-EB07-4E82-8621-3E7B3C2D8D91.jpeg B83126BE-CD7C-48DE-9357-78B7BEA6E6A9.jpeg Market street was market street. Ginormous rush at the opening bell, a lull (I enter) and a line upon exiting. I had bean soup, the Korean short ribs and fried shrimp (second time this trip) 9F823B4B-3B12-4195-9DB9-06D606CD8B4A.jpeg E5B43C96-245B-4A2C-9499-968CF706F341.jpeg 72CBFB46-B2A8-43DE-9CDE-2AE608B5C39F.jpeg AED9C956-C2CC-4536-A5CF-6C8931D1763D.jpeg 43D5C3DB-6729-48D4-9A04-AB1B4C81D4DD.jpeg 9650835E-BD8A-4FF1-A70B-6F90748D9BE3.jpeg 32F93914-DDDD-4E8C-B0A4-DDD491D8F6BE.jpeg It was fairly good given the options on the menu and options available on Boyd properties.
Went out for the final day farewell tour of keno which concludes every trip. Played nickels. No big hits but killed time until sleep beckoned. Began about 6 and finished up around 7:15. 6AFD6B83-4FD6-4AD4-A9F2-E5993B67269E.jpeg DE84514C-73DB-4B47-9303-E7F034BB09F4.jpeg 6455D2B2-F619-4650-840C-35697B504DA9.jpeg AD98F34E-E0BD-41CE-8E94-05F5F8229370.jpeg Had a couple of goose island brews and roamed the casino watching some craps and a crazy football game on tv. Finished it up in my room. Wild ending for a Wednesday.
Tried to get housekeeping one day (middle day) but it was a no-go although was told it was a go. The usual view (except my first day on Sunday) upon exiting my room was this....(well I can’t access for some reason...will add later)
Overview and final thoughts on the whole trip are now available. We are not food snobs but we want food and room for our play. We don’t eat regularly what is offered at the present time on site via Boyd properties. My wife refers to it as dorm food. I lived off the economy in college so I just envision her diet as an18-21 year old. Cafeteria comes to mind. A middle of the road cafeteria.
I can eat that maybe 2 meals of a trip but not every meal each day. Fortunately the 4Queens had offers and promotions :D which allowed access to more acceptable fare for me. I really miss the Redwood and 2nd Street grill @Fremont. It wasn’t just the steaks and seafood, but a well crafted salads :) and fresh bread and a relaxing atmosphere in which to reflect on the day. I miss that experience and it is no one’s fault directly but a result of the current situation we are enduring.
We are scheduled to return in December but with the COVID numbers increasing and the two week assessment being made by Nevada’s governor as to opening / closing of public facilities/ businesses. And the offering of middle seats  on SWA beginning on December 1 is another unwelcome factor. So I don’t see food offers :nono: changing in the immediate future nor do I see my adapting to those offering either. 1st world problems.
Enjoyed the trip nonetheless and actually am going home with about 50-75$ less :headbang: than I came with including tips, taxes, and licensing agreements. Thanks to Ty for a good time and amazingly I had celebrity status on day 4 as I was the guy addressed as “aren’t you Ty’s friend? Where’s he at?” at least double digit times in just the one day. Shoulda gotten an autograph but didn’t think of it quick enough.
Most of the above is personal view. Don’t let it encourage bad behavior nor prevent you from coming to Vegas. It’ll be good :woohoo: to get out and play some golf tomorrow in the fresh air and green / brown grass. If you made it this far you’re a trooper. Now go do something productive. :wiggle:

Mods can move if more appropriate elsewhere.
    Uber times. Once placed took 3 minutes. 834841B5-F588-47EE-BA3D-1CE18977AF70.jpeg D31D1938-9306-4FC2-AD71-8499D5FF2060.png 8A0BB663-2CBE-42F0-9D1D-EB9991D8A307.png 65CCEC20-5B7B-4D3F-94EB-2F2F91295EBD.png

Price went up 24 cents 20 cents was wait time He went into MSS parking lot first  I waited so maybe a reverse credit awaits...:p
