    My Trip Report

This is the 6th Annual fall get-a-way with my buddy @Nervous Wreck. Due to the World wide Pandemic, we weren’t sure this trip was gonna happen, but here it is!

This will be my second trip to Vegas since the reopening in June. I gave Four Queens a good amount of play in July, and received some generous November and December offers; 3 comped nights, $400 free play, and $75 dining credit.

We’re booked 5 nights at Four Queens. We are armed with $400 Four Queens free play, $300 in The D Matchplay chips, $200 MyKONAMI free play, drink vouchers and dining credit from the Four Queens/Binion’s app, plus Las Vegas Advisor and American Casino Guide coupons.

Video Poker and Craps are our casino games of choice, and there will be several Masters, College Football, and NFL bets placed, and watched, at the newly opened Circa Sportsbook!

The goal is to provide live updates with lots of VP and food porn pics. The realty is we’re a couple of middle aged guys who like to drink copious amounts of alcohol, and may forget some updates and pics. [emoji2373]

High noon arrival on Wednesday. Let’s go!

    Vegas Baby!

Full Delta flight from Columbus to Atlanta, and other than open middle seats, a full flight on a big ass Boeing 767 Wide Body from ATL to Las Vegas.

A ziplock snack bag consisting of cheese it’s, a Kind granola bar, and a small bottle of water handed out by the Delta flight attendants, satisfied the morning hunger, and then a quick stop at Chick-fil-A in the Atlanta airport will hopefully hold me over till we hit Happy Hour at Pizza Rock later today.

The range of feelings/emotions when arriving at McCarran is like no other airport, maybe in the world. Almost a hopeful, anxious excitement. After 40+ trips, I can still feel my heartbeat speed up when I see that first “Las Vegas” add sign. Just waiting on my checked bag, and @Nervous Wreck to arrive.

What a great first day in Vegas! We were looking for a $10 craps table last night, but the minimums at The D, Golden Gate, and Circa were $15. We settled into a table at Four Queens, and boy am I happy we did! I bought in for $200, and cashed out 2 hours later with $800, including a beautiful purple chip. The highlight of the session was hitting a $10 2-way hard 8! 4 shooters in a row with solid roles.

    The Masters starts today! We’ve got $10 bets on a couple guys to win;

    Tyrell Hatton +4500
    Webb Simpson +4800
    Adam Scott +6200
    Patrick Reed +3500
    Patrick Cantlay +3175

Dinner reservations at Hugo’s Cellar tonight, so there will be some better food porn pics.

Of course my body is on east coast time. To bed at 1:00am and up at 4:30am.

Interested to hear how Hugos is doing nowadays. When WSOP was in Binions, Hugos was great! Then slowly over the years, it seemed that the dinner was getting just that little bit worse each time. Still loved the overall experience, great value wine list (and always good stuff not on the wine list if you are into your wine) and always enjoyed the whole experience; salad cart, non-stuffy sommelier, all very old-school Vegas stuff.
But I think I finally put this great tradition back into the water (maybe without even realising it at the time) around 2016/17 when the steak on it's own got a mediocre 5/10. And what's the point of going to a steakhouse for medicore steak!
Anyway, I'd love to hear that things have got better, but I'm probably going to be pleasantly surprised by anything better than "meh, it was ok"

Some quad hits from last night at Vue bar at D. VP went well at D. Not so much at 4 queens. Good craps run at 4 queens. Doubled up bankroll on Day 1.
