This makes me so sad. When I think of Trekek, I will always think back to the many battles my brother and friends have had nightly at 7:30 pm. The abscence of his reassuring voice will truly be missed by those of us who watch nightly. Trebek, all I can say is "Good for you."

So sad, but I'm amazed he lasted as long as he did. I'm a huge Jeopardy fan. I can't imagine Jeopardy with any other host. :(

I don’t think I will be able to question answers after his shows are done airing. Ok

Our family spent so many years following along and challenging each other. Alex Trebek was extraordinary in so many ways, his craft, his generosity to many charities and his alma mater towards scholarships. He remained positive and determined throughout his fight with cancer, RIP

Ugh. This is a horrible cancer. My dad succumbed to it in January. His last night living on Earth was the night they aired Ken Jennings clinching "The Greatest of All-Time Tournament" (aired 1/14/20).

Like Alex, he seemed to be doing relatively well until about the last 2 weeks. We had a nice Christmas, imo. But those last two weeks, I wouldn't wish on anyone.

And in the gambling world, events related to my father has brought good luck.

2 of my 10 royals have been hit on his birthday (9/19/12 and 9/19/15, both in Tunica).

Here's a pic of the last one, about an hour after meeting @jpw711 for the first time.

And for what would have been his 77th birthday, met up with @DDB this year and hit my first Aces since my last trip to Vegas! Over a year! :(

And finally, the night I learned about his initial cancer diagnosis (small-cell lung cancer, not pancreatic cancer, that came later, ugh), I hit this in the early morning of 9/6/2017. A quarter Royal at TAG (my first quarter royal) with Stan bartending. 3 hours later 4 8s at Flamingo for $750 more. My BEST night of casino gambling EVER. M also hit 4 Aces on the same game I hit the royal, Triple Bonus Plus, which I've still never done.

And Ms hit before my hits came...

Also the last casino outing I had with my father, I hit this. Multiplied SF on a redraw? WTF? I ended up $350 that day. Dad did better though. Up $800. The best he did in a longgggg while.

I still believe heavily in math and randomness, but the odds of all this occurring on these dates are soooooo unlikely. Miss you, Dad.

Hoping SNL does on more Jeopardy skit as a tribute.

Bring back Burt Reynolds, Sean Connery and make it so when Trebek died he goes through the pearly gates, enters Heaven and it looks like the old Jeopardy set and sees Burt and Sean there. Make the punchline be something like "I thought this was Heaven why does it feel like hell"? And Sean could reply because God's a fan of James Bond and Smokey and the Bandit you insert insult here. It's heaven for us and hell for you.

In all seriousness, he will be missed. Actually all three of them will. Talented, unique men.
