Tier Credits for Resort Fees Mlife

Do you earn Tier Credits for Resort Fees at MGM properties in Las Vegas.

 

No just whatever the subtotal is before taxes and resort fees.

 

@GabrielBFly I'm pretty sure you are mistaken. Taxes do not earn TCs, but resort fees do.

 

They do not at least for me they don't. MLife desk told me subtotal before taxes and resort fees.

 

Huh. Must be a recent change, as I distinctly remember getting TCs for resort fees (I don't pay for rooms, but I do pay RFs) over the years.

 

I could be wrong too. It seems everyone has a different experience.

 

Resort fees go to the hotel, they are part of the room rate. You earn tier credits on them. What you don't earn tier credits on is taxes on resort fees or for anything else.

 

Unless someone needs a few extra points for the next level, I would think this rarely even matters.

Could be just a psychological thing i know it means very little but somehow i take pride in moving up tiers.

 

Oh it helps the overall cause if you are paying for resort fees. Every little bit helps!

 

My point is - they don't help anything. You get nothing unless it moves you up a tier. Am I missing something?

 

I see what you are saying... But each person is gonna look at this differently. You aren’t missing anything.

 

10 days of resort fees at Aria for instance is almost 10,000 tier credits as an example. That isn't nothing. I'm Platinum, and nowhere near Noir but if I earned them, I earned them.

No way paying resort fees and getting tier credits would move you to Noir. Not possible.

 

I don’t understand the gain? If you gamble enough the Resort Fee is waived at all levels in MLife.

 

I never said it would. However, I don't care if I had 10,000,000 tc's and was Noir. If I earned 10,000 more for whatever reason, I'd want them. Just like I'd want an actual lb of gold not 15.5 ounces if I'm paying for a lb.

 

Yea, but the gold is worth something. For most people, 10,000 TC have zero value.

 

10,000 tc's is 5% of Platinum in a normal year.
13.3% to Gold.
40% to Pearl.

That's something. Even if it was less, so what?

People whine and moan about slight changes in payback percentages because it affects them. This is no different.
