I dont remember if any of you recall my puppy, but he's turning 1 years old at the end of this month. Geez time flies. This was him when we first got him, this is him now. He's Mufasa for Halloween.
Okay I’ll play. Then & Now. Nikki January 2017 at 6 months when we adopted her. Bottom photo was last week. I know not much change.
I hope it's okay to add this to the thread. Not trying to be a downer, but wanted to share her pretty face, and my grief, with a group of people who would understand. This is Cierna (pronounced "KEER-Nuh"). Her name is Welsh-Gaelic and means "Little dark one". She has brought years of joy and comfort and love. After discovering a rapidly growing tumor and over a week of palliative care the extraordinarily difficult but merciful decision to let her fall asleep and pass quietly and calmly with no pain was made yesterday. I've had her for 14 years. She was rescued as a runt in Las Vegas and traveled cross-country to Indianapolis. The level of sweetness that this cat possessed is not really describable. What she gave to me is immeasurable. My memories of her are unforgettable. Rest, sweet girl. You were so, so loved. Thanks for loving me back so well. ❤️
New foster pup. Poor guy is in rough shape and seems to be sick, which required an unplanned vet visit today. He’ll be real handsome once he’s able to put a little weight on and fill out his coat.
That he has. Better than an alarm clock. If I could only reset him to maybe an hour later in the morning! He is now twice the size he was upon arrival.
@ardee Tango is adorable. Happy to see you all are getting along so well. Our dearly departed Boo Boo had a habit of patrolling the house just before dawn and meowing. At the time I would just cringe under the blanket and wish for silence. Now that he's gone, I would give anything to hear that meow again.
Same here, @AlwaysUpForFun . My Gus was the most vocal cat I ever had. He would carry his "prey" around day and night, meow, meow, meow... For some reason he was fascinated with the pieces of plastic left after you punched out a membership/discount/insurance/whatever card. I always saved them for him so he'd have a fresh one once the current one started to fall apart. He's been gone since July and it's so quiet. Every once in a while when one of the others speaks up I can still see him carrying those damn pieces of plastic around. I sent a couple with him on that final journey.
Oh @Catzilla , that's funny. Boo Boo liked the plastic rings from milk jugs. Other things he would carry around the house was a little porcelain Delft cat that was a couple inches long and a tiny porcelain doll that was no bigger than 3". His favorite toy was this "Las Vegas Show Gull" catnip stuffed toy. I kept that after he was gone and put it in the box his cremains came in along with his collar.
This is Jaxon on his first Halloween; he is 5 now and less enthusiastic about costumes. My little Ewok <3
