Definitely. @Mrazzo, do they restrict how fast those exotic cars go? Either way, that looks like a helluva lot of fun. :biker::biker::biker:

    So to recap yesterday:
My mom got my fiancé a super car experience @ Exotics Racing for her bday. She’s done it before but it’s a blast. She did 10 laps in a Ferrari 488 I think and then some in a Lamborghini and some in a Mclaren. She went pretty fast and had a great time. Check them out if you ever want to drive a dream car.
After that we spent a few in the parking area at the NASCAR track watching fighters from Nellis AFB fly low and fast. That was fun.

Tough to snap pics they were hauling ass but he’s there lol.

After that we drove out to lake mead and Hoover dam. My mom had no memories of that arena as a kid. She thinks my grandparents may have driven over the dam at night. So that was great to see her take all that in. We didn’t stay there long tho. The crowd was rather large and NO mask usage. Like none.
So we set off to the Grand Canyon West rim. That a nice desert drive lots of Joshua trees and interesting terrain. We went in to the Indian reservation prob expecting a bit more but it was ok. They make you park and take a bus to the 2 lookouts they have. Both are ok views not as grand as south rim but also a LOT closer. My only real gripe was they packed people on the bus. And only 2 buses running so the wait to hop on was over 40 min at both stops. That annoyed me for $40 each has some busses. Mask use was strictly enforced but like I said before on the bus people were standing in the aisles holding onto seat backs so they didn’t have to wait for another bus.
Saw a ton of antelope there that was pretty cool. Otherwise it was meh.
Drove back and went downtown for dinner at the D at Andimano. It was pretty good.

I had the ribeye the ladies had salmon
I liked it. The white truffle whipped potatoes were a miss tho.

Headed back to MGM my mom turned in for the night and we got some gamble in.
Olivia hit $1000 on a dancing drums. I played Pai Gow poker for about 5 hrs. Got shitfaced but won around $300 I THINK. All still a little fuzzy.

Pic dump coming soon and pool day today
Cabana at MGM Grand Lazy River. Should be nice.

    Sure. Anything specific?
Exotics has their own 1.2 mile track and the facility is super easy to get into.
The cars are all new and very well maintained. And they GO!! They encourage you to go fast. They def take safety seriously too. You go out with a professional driver in the passenger seat. He helps you pick lines and def makes it easier to go faster.

Not restricted. She had the Ferrari over 130mph on the back stretch. But it’s also about handling. You can take corners at 60 that you wouldn’t dream of doing 30 through in your own car. They go through a lot of tires!!!

Hi all. Matt here. Drunk and stumbling to bed. Wanted to update today. Got up a bit late thanks to Talia my cocktail waitress at MGM Grand. She arrived with jack and cokes every 10 min or so for about 3 hrs last night and damn if she wasn’t Johnny in the spot again tonight. I am fucking flying lol

    Days highlights:
My fiancé made mlife platinum today. She’s happy. We had a good group of friends at our cabana on the lazy river as well. Ugh that bill.... but it propelled me back to pearl status so eh lol
My mom spent about 6 hours floating the lazy river in a tube. Sometimes she had a book, sometimes a drink, but ALWAYS a big ol smile and that’s all that matters. She’s currently medium rare in her room. I just got some after sun lotion and dropped it off on the way to my room. I’m done I’m tired
After the pool we took the rental up to Fremont. Love me some Golden Gate
    Gotta find pictures hold on

Big day tomorrow we have Cosmo brunch I believe, followed up with visiting the world famous gold and silver pawn shop for my mom, and later in the day our friends Jimmy and John have their “Fabulous Gay Wedding” at the Bellagio with the dinner reception at Prime. I’m excited I’ve never eaten there. I will try and drop some more photos later but right now I’m beat.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words about my mom. She’s really the best person and she has loved seeing what some have posted on here. I’m so glad she’s finally living it up after 70 years lol. She’s also chomping at the bit to get back to work Monday. She’s the most caring and dedicated nurse you will ever meet. Love you and proud to call you mom!!!
Goodnight VMB this drunk rant is over

As a fellow "travel to Vegas with my Mom" person, I am loving this report! We were last there in February, who knows when we will be able to return? My Mom is now 82 and really slowing down but hope springs eternal that we may be able to return one day!! Please say Hi to your Mom and enjoy the day today...........looking forward to hearing about it!! Have fun......

Waking up now and just realized it’s only Wednesday and no Wicked Spoon brunch they are closed until tomorrow. Damnit. So going into my playbook to see what we can do today until wedding prep. God I’m hungover lol

Some quick observations from last night.
The scooter crackdown!! Chatting up security here at MGM Grand and the fella tells me the casino has been working with the PD to limit the scooter army. He said they added a policy to remove them from the property for being reckless, speeding, and even drinking and cell phone use. I haven’t seen many at all in casinos. On the strip a few but not at all what I was imagining after hearing some people report back like a month ago so that’s good.
Security is only as good as the people who work the checkpoints. To that point there was no reason to even bother having the metal detectors at Fremont St. I set it off and the alarm was blasting and the guy nearest to it never even turned around to look he was busy talking to a girl. Fremont was pretty crowded last night and it seemed like the attitude at the checkpoints was “whatever”.
Pot smoke. It’s everywhere. It’s blatantly obvious and no one cares. Something needs to be done about that. It used to be yeah you smell it but it goes away in a few, now it’s just people openly smoking it wherever you go no fucks given. The self parking garage here at MGM seems to be the most popular place but it’s obvious on the casino floors as well as constant in our rooms hallways.
Ok enough complaining I’m getting hungry. Gotta get moving here. Starbucks 1st for the fiancé and then we need a plan. I’ll report back when said plan is made lol
