Those pics were from a story that suggested that a sales/preview center is on site. I remember they had these for a few properties that opened in the 90s (MGM and Venetian) and would like to see this one when I'm out in a few weeks.

I can't remember bc this has been going on so long and I searched but no results....Does RW have convention space??

The trade show we do every year moved to Vegas Oct 2021 instead of New Orleans Feb 2021. Don't know where yet. BUT they just posted on FB with photos of Resorts World, so I'm wondering ;-) Most of the time the show was vegas, it was Mandalay Bay, but the last time (2013?) was Sands ...

As examples, CP new conference center is 550,000 sq. ft.. and Paris casino is about 105,000 sq. ft. so 100K square feet of convention space seems small I guess.

Yeah, we went to the Orange County (Orlando FL) site and looked at what we normally have there - close to 400 or 500K we think. So either we won't be at RW, or the show will be miniscule in comparison to history. We're already on the fence about attendance pre-COVID so that wouldn't be worth it for us. Could just be the Show's social media person putting up "fun" photos on FB and not be a clue, of course! :)

If Covid is still an issue I would think previous space requirements would grow for spatial reasons alone. Maybe.

Or the country will remain so freaked going forward that large conventions will wither away.

Thanks Slimm! I was out there for the Circa opening, but never went past that north side of RW where I might've seen the sign.

It still seems to me that the front of the property is going at somewhat of a snail's pace and I wonder if they'll make that Summer 2021 timeline for opening. Of course, "summer" can technically give them until late September, so..................

Reminds me of the color bar when networks would fire up for the day (pre 24 hour broadcasting—-yes Virginia , the was a time) which I always thought allowed for fine tuning the scheme of the various shades. The colors look familiar. But probably not.

I agree. Probably a test screen of the board before it goes 'live'.

When it comes to LEDs, I think it's usually to ensure that the various core colors (red/green/blue) are working properly. They can only make other colors by combining the three core colors, and so if one color in the array isn't working properly, the whole thing won't work. This personally happened to me on my laptop, which has a color-changing backlit keyboard, and I've seen it happen elsewhere.
