Walk into Ri Ra, sit at the bar. Get hit on! Na he just wanted me to join him for dinner but noooo.

Na na he was nice and I admire his approach but bro. I'm dead. I mean I'm dead inside too, but my boyfriend is way better looking than you and...I just drove 5hrs and don't wanna talk to anyone. Sorry.
The dude was nice though and now we sit on opposite ends of the bar all awkward like.

After living in LA for less than a year (but visiting regularly for like 10), I can say Brodie got it right with this fuckin' song:

Bartender bought my half pint at the bar which was rad. He was nice, I tipped 'm $10. Kinda felt bad for that dude at the other end, but hey.

Checked in at TI. Temperature check, no big deal. Had to sign a paper that I did not experience any symptoms of the beer virus, also no big deal.

My room is pretty fuckin sweet. I got a Strip view and can see all the way down to my jam, The Cos (& beyond but hey):

(I can see the volcano show from my room! Fuck yeah!)

    Nice room, I dig it.

    I even got....a bathtub!

And presents aka bath things aka....stuff.

I've never stayed at TI before!!! This is exciting.

I will say. When I walked through Mandalay Bay it seemed pretty mellow and far, far less crowded than I'd seen it on Friday nights. That was nice.

TI seemed pretty mellow too. Pretty calm the places I've walked through and not a lot of noise from my room area.

    - does this look like the face of someone who wants to go out & party? After a 5hr drive and 4hrs working and other shit today? Fuckkkk no! It's bath time, book time, then sleepy time.

Super view. I’ve always had a soft spot for TI; the boardwalk out front is a great place for snapping a few pics. BTW, that stew and Guinness looked great. Ever do a Black and Tan? Always nice to get that meal you’re longing for right off the bat. Between TI, Mirage, V/P and Caesars you’ll have plenty of slots, and good eats, to choose from. Hope you make it down to the B or Cosmo. Let ‘er rip LOTD. :biker::biker::biker:

    Thank you Mike!! :D

I haven't had a Black N Tan in ages! Might need to snag some tomorrow :)

I'm staying at Cos tomorrow night! So excited. Most of my bankroll will be spent there.

Increased police presense outside Royale, Harrah's, Linq and probably Flamingo (probably 4-5 cars total) but it looks like they're just chillin with lights flashing, pulled off the side of the road. Makes sense, that whole little cluster gets seedy at a certain time of night.

Little biased with my music selection....but I think my hometown has the best jazz station. (The ones in LA and SF suck in comparison :haha:)

Reading a book then heading to bed. If early check in at Cosmo pays off, I'll get in there around 10a! :woohoo:

Have a great time! I do love TI - my solo-ing began there, and I had the best margarita at one of their many defunct lounges. One of my big regrets is not buying up the gift shop when it was more themed. Enjoy Cosmo too. And Ra Ri, makes me want a black and black now...

Please review the water pressure at Treasure Island! I stayed there in December and it was horrible. Not sure if it the hotel has horrible water pressure, or if I just lucked out.

I want to love TI. They send me comps. They have TWO Starbucks. Mystere is my favorite Cirque show.

But the casino hates me, the elevators smelled like rusty pennies (which should be solved by Covid cleaning?) and I could not get my conditioner completely rinsed out.

Fall is my favorite season, AFI is my favorite band....every October another band called Tiger Army would do a 2-night show inbSoCal called Octoberflame. So bummed I'm not going this year. They've been a favorite since high school, and they have way back ties with AFI.

Adam Carson, AFI's fantastic drummer, has a cameo because alongside AFI, he jammed with....:

Anyways, last year I saw another favorite artist and unlikely opener at Tiger Army's Octoberflame at the Wiltern. Lovely venue, great time. I got this shirt!

No kidding! It takes me longer in just wheels-up flying time to get to Vegas than it takes her to drive there. By the time you add my drive to the airport and layover switching planes (because there are no non-stop Vegas flights from anywhere closer than a 3 or 4 hour drive for me) it takes me about twice as long to fly there as the drive is for SoCal folks.

@luck.ofthe.draw please win all the money at Cosmo! I'll just be here filling out mountains of paperwork for this job application :bang:

I hate getting to the airport. Before Covid, if I left from my apartment for an early morning flight, it was:

    Leave my apartment
    Walk to the subway
    Wait for the subway
    Wait some more
    Wait even more
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE FUCKING TRAIN OH MY FUCKING GOD

(the above was even worse for the FOUR AND A HALF FUCKING YEARS my train line was only running in one direction and I had to go in the opposite way, change trains to come back)

Then finally, get off the train and onto the Long Island Railroad

    Then get on the AirTrain

Then get off the AirTrain and either curse whoever built this god damned thing so the walk into the Delta terminal is annoying, although not as bad as returning on JetBlue where you have to walk UP an incline with your luggage

Only to finally be at the airport and then start the process of going through security.

If I were to race someone from California, they would be seeing the bright lights of Vegas just at the point where I start yelling at people to "TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF BEFORE YOU GET TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE PEOPLE"

    Post Covid:

    I just take an Uber.

Well, this makes my just under 20 mile drive mostly through the backwoods to my local airport seem pretty convenient!

That's a VERY nice room. It's more of an old school bathtub but it would work for me and I like the finishes in the room. TI also didn't scrimp on amenities.

    Good for you Luck.

I am usually not that disciplined but the few times during trips where, after arrival, I unpacked, took a hot bath, got a great night's sleep and then awakened early for breakfast, spa and then started playing, was always was a great way to roll and basically eliminated playing tired and losing too quickly and guaranteed a more enjoyable, even if losing, experience my first full day. Will aim for that next time, especially with my Wynn room upgrade.
