My gambling neophyte buddy matched this FP for a group pull,
    things were going well.
Until I told him some people touch and swipe around the screen for luck.
Did not expect he would max bet 2x$25 by changing denom.

What could I do? He was just following my advice.

Getting buzzed, all I could do was play the hype man and yell that he better get that shit back, and fast.
(the 1 credit is more than $25, but less than $50)

He pulled us back up, but who wants to see bunch of $40 top dollar takes...

was kind of on the lookout for any VMBers in town, but @FuzzyDiceCraps could not be found at DTG, and all the rest were fancy strip types, eating fine dining this po boy enviously enjoys reading about, but wouldn't be able to eat hardly any and could not abide by any fractional increase in HA.. One day, perhaps, it will all come together.. Maybe we can break the bank and I can get barred at a fancy craps table.

shoutout to @Flowers, as I said, when I grow up, I want to Vegas like you..

Until then, I had my own thing going on w. my buddy that drove me in and his buddies that possied up and rented a house.. oh man that house :kill:...
Celine Dion supposedly stayed there once, so of course,
Master bedroom was Celine Dion themed..

TBH the decor looked kind of brothel, when he said there were strange gold flakes getting on everyone, P said "that's stripper gold, and I LMFAO....

OMG. You must be super rich. (one of the rich SoCal kids?)
My bankroll usually can't hold onto 3rd day of my trip, unless it's a very lucky trip.

I don't get why people feel if they are a guest at a property, looks nice too, that they can toss trash all over. It's rude! Do you do that at home? Even if you did, your home your rules, but come on.

That is gross and makes the person doing it look bad. I hope you tip housekeeping well for putting up with that.

Not to derail the housekeeping scolding, but what were the craps minimums that you saw at the Cal and other places Downtown? Did any have plexiglass? Just asking for a friend:whistle:

Cal craps minimums were $10, no plexiglass, single table has been moved to the main pit, mostly $10 throughout downtown, but did spot an occasional morning $5 table, notably at 4Q.

4Q also had $5 BJ at the end table that requires you to make the $1 sucker bet to spin the wheel, but our group there had a lot of fun, getting the usual $5 spins, but also a $40, and $100.

(for a $1 side bet, any BJ lets you spin the wheel, get excited a second, and watch the wheel tick right past the $5000 payout to the $5 one..
was trying to figure how damaging that side bet was during long lull periods,
but it certainly was entertaining.) I digress, see earlier post.

maybe 20 bet for $5 back every half hour or hour, but still prefereable IMO to $10 min BJ....

That was at DTG, the sitting area with 3 large TVs was behind me, quite a crowd came through to watch the Lakers lose. These machines have plexi dividers, with a classy no bump gold edge, so all the machines were on. At first I thought they were permanently affixed to the bar, but the bartender showed me they were on a very heavy base, so you could even move them to ideally form your own "bubble" (ie: further forwards to the front or backed off, like this lady, who was sharing stories of watching people eat shit into un-edge-decorated plexi at tables or walking by)

   ;)
    Chillax,

It's a little inside joke I'm making that only I get, also it helps me track my smoking.. (hit 1.5 packs/day).
(hint, it is a reference to a great movie)
    Of course,
it was cleaned up before checkout.
Of course, I tip housekeeping well, as well as check in clerks, players club staff, waiters, waitresses, cashiers, bathroom attendants, and any cleaning crew that helped clean up the mess I made at any machine.
One 64 year old lady was thrilled to get her first tip after 3 months on the job.
Also bellmen and Valets, on both sides.

Generally minimum tip everywhere was $3-5, an extension of my research into coming in "tipping like a baller", and it's effect on luck.
I wish I tracked exactly how much I tipped out and made for dealers in dealer bets.
(on any win, dealer tips would always go back up) I 'm pretty sure it often totals, or more often exceeds all my/any of my winnings.
Results were promising, best run ever, Up decent to evenish for the first four days. so there was never any reason to stop.

There is also a generally real positive energy and feeling you get from tipping, (especially those that don't expect it), giving you much more for the money than just sullenly gambling it away.

I do appreciate all the concern for housekeeping,
I gave a housekeeper $5 for finding me the one elusive post covid ice bucket in the supply closet at the Cal.
Had to wait 20 minutes listening for her to stop vacuuming to catch her in the hall.

final note, not sure but possibly a previous $25 tip to the front desk receptionist for straightening out my non smoking room, may have helped put me into the elusive Cal mini suite.

    $5 Ice bucket___________^
(damn, that just reminded me, I forgot to drop an extra $20 on her on the way out.. next time then)
:D(also having a positive friendly demeanor to everyone you encounter never hurts nothing)

FYI: gift shop purchases can not be back end comped.
    upload_2020-10-18_17-31-10.jpeg
PSA: Chinese food room service stops at 10 pm, the rest of the room service menu does not.
also the TV menu system can be controlled by cell phone, and can do maintenance and housekeeping requests. fancy!
