    Tired. Hanging in the room.
One thing I'm noting... this room is a hike. No quick run up to the room for an item... or down the hall for ice. 20201011_220206_1602479109405.jpg

    It was excellent

I had a hard time choosing between dining room and bar area for happy hour. I chose dining room. Next time, I might do an assortment of starters.

    A question for VMBers

Why are LV hotel room clocks so often unplugged?
This is my 10th LV trip since 2018. Clock in the room has been unplugged 4-5 times.
Inattentive housekeeping? Guests dont want to know? Light from clocks distract total-darkness sleepers?

I had to Google how to reset this ancient iPod dock after finding it unplugged.

So many times I have found hotel clock/radios with their alarms set to early morning hours. Can’t say if it’s forgetfulness or a prank, but I always check this. I also disable the house phone if possible, there are plenty of alarms and speakers in the walls if the hotel really needs to get my attention. Personally, I put everything back to normal before housekeeping arrives.

    I'm so ashamed.

It just occurred to me that if there was a program to rent a scooter to cruise up and down these looooong Vegas resort hallways, just park it by the room or elevator, I'd consider it.

The first time we had a Tower King FV room, I had just broken my foot. We brought a kneewalker with us to help me get around. The one I had had a squeak in the wheels somewhere. I remember squeaking my way down the hall hoping I wasn't annoying anyone in their rooms as I passed by. After a few drinks it just made me giggle as I squeaked my way down the hall. Now that probably was annoying.

I find this in many hotels, not just in Vegas. Could be because people want to use that outlet for their phone chargers since it's right by the bed. Not all hotel alarm clocks/docks have USB ports for charging like some of the newer ones do. I once stayed in a room that had every lamp unplugged too; not sure what that was about. :(

I always unplug the alarm clock, except for when I forgot and it goes off in the middle of the night.

Depending on the hotel, I sometimes unplug the lamp to plug in my phone / laptop because there are not enough outlets in convenient spots.

For those of you that need more outlets, just do as I do and carry a 3-way plug or two. Just a suggestion. Definitely downtown!!

I try to carry as little as possible. I can do a month with a carry on bag.

Will unplug the clock only if it is extremely bright and can't be dimmed, or in the rare cases where we need the outlet. Rare it happens in Vegas though.

I have no idea what your preferred line of skincare is, but google the name with "advent calendar" and you just might find you can purchase one (which is fun) that comes with really tiny jars so you can bring lots of items, but for less space. 3 oz is the max on bottles, but it is difficult to find smaller ones and I have never used a full 3 oz of anything when traveling.
