A.D.’s snapshots of a retry of a March trip that never was

The $12 hard 8 was an accident I didn't cancel in time.
Suddenly had an overwhelming feeling about 5:4 hopping and definitely hit it.

 

Not sure why but I'm quite taken by this zoltar line up. Is it only at the Cal? Good luck! Nice fridge stocking!

Then tried that 6+8 tower of power betting strat discussed over there... not a bad result..

 

This guy was fun, occasionally, he'd toss a chip over to the the table to the right, where his buddy was playing the Cat BJ game, he was part of a big group, and they dropped by to bemoan the dud dice rolls where dealer bust got no cats, so no pay off.

I told them about my hot run (another trip) when we saw a bunch of 3 matched cats in a row, and maybe an hour (I got no idea) later, they hit a hot run too..

I even ran over there and played a hand in the middle during a shuffle.. It was just all good vibes.

4:20 and the bezel says I did it in less than an hour.. May even have been FP buyin.
If not, total $40 in.

sometime during this roll some drunk slurring or drugs dude came up and got next to me, just acting kind of surly, cussing at everything in general, and acting kind of unpredictable.
I felt a bad vibe, ratholed my green chips into my pocket, left some reds up, and backed off to keep an eye on him from behind and have a cigarette. His wife I assume comes up and he belligerently cusses her out.. Storms off and leaves about $16 in the rack ($10 table). Dealers say something about this being a "family" thing and par for the course, he never shows again, and about a half hour later his wife comes to get his chips that have been holding the spot to my left for all that time.. bleh... hate bad vibes at craps tables.

Random or not, out hot rolls cooled.

This couple was awesome though, a little drunk, a little rowdy, a little hype..
Tried to hype him up and he was a good roller, I even passed it back to him so he could keep the momentum.

When things started going good, the good old Cal Pit sweat happened, twice now, the funniest response is to good naturedly heckle them back, he was saying something about them getting paid hourly (as we both are drunkenly tipping), they are saying they want to shut the table down, I take a break and an hour later rejoin, next to the wife, trying to find an uber out of DT, while the husband is on the other side still keeping his consistent throw.

Oh, and PSA, security thoroughly chastised her for leaving her purse under the table during a restroom break. Don't do that. If she told me it was there, I would have been on the lookout, but I don't think she told anyone.. (lots of vodka drinks)
