Any word if they'll start up the tram between Bellagio and Park MGM soon?

Other than the general weirdness you see all across Vegas, it's fairly "as expected". Good crowds in the lobby and casino, restaurants are active, some of the bars (the ones that are open) are fairly busy.

I'd be confident the November plans for Bellagio will work out well!

When was this tram built? So it bypasses over Aria/Vdara? I didn't even know about this one... just the Aria one and the Mandalay/Excalibur one and the paid one on the other side. Eeks! Tell me it is newer?

Same one. It actually stops between Aria and Park MGM.
The middle stop is Crystals and the other end is at Bellagio.

It was part of the CityCenter construction along with Aria. 2009.

I've always thought that the Monte Carlo/Park MGM station is so close to Aria anyways that it doesn't really save that much time. It's like a 15 minute walk from there to Bellagio.

The Tram may take 5 minutes, but it drops of you off in the back of Bellagio. Plus you may have to wait 5 minutes for the tram to show up. So maybe you save 5 minutes, but many times it's a wash.

That tram would be actually useful if they had continued the line south behind ParkMGM and terminated it at the north end of NYNY parking garage. That spot is right next to Tmobile arena and also very close to the Park theater.

Moot point with the Muskmobiles* on the way.

When I was at Vdara this week, the signs said it was closed and I don't think they were taking any passengers, but I did see a car go back and forth once. Just once, it was probably a test run or maybe they just run it once a day or every couple of days like you would with your car if it was going to be mostly sitting around for a while.

All closed off this past Tuesday when I walked Park MGM > Aria > Vdara > Bellagio.... part of the trek uses the Tram structure.

Damn a couple trips ago if this wasn’t open I dunno how I woulda made it back. I was on a heater at the BJ table and was completely shit faced when I finally decided I had to go back to the room at 6am. Stumbled from park to the tram back to Vdara as my wife woke up as I went to bed. I may have to force myself to leave a heater if that’s this time bc I was in no shape to walk 15 mins maybe I’ll figure out the short uber

Ahhhh if you can stumble up the stairs to the Park station then I have confidence that you can stumble through the Aria ;)

I was at the Aria Oct. 15-19 and it was closed the entire time.

It really depends on where you're going. The Crystals stop drops you by the Aria lobby; the ParkMGM stop drops you off by the taxi stand. And bear in mind that the ParkMGM stop is at the north side and involves a walk of approximately 900 miles to get to the actual casino, with the restaurants almost all on the south side.
It's still closed. As I think was mentioned elsewhere, it has to do with capacity restrictions and lack of staffing. It's an enclosed space with no way to effectively control the number of people (and a long wait would make things pretty painful). I don't see any of the trams opening any time soon, unfortunately.
