We ate there in August, the crab cake was the bomb. We also had a Caesar salad, it was beautifully presented.

    Happy birthday to me!

I’ve read many of your prior reports, and have enjoyed them without commenting. Just have to say that this one is fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing. You could have really blown the doors off this thing gambling-wise if some of those big draws with multipliers had come in!

Damn active room key check for the pool? I hope this doesn't become a thing at Cosmo and MGM Grand! Those are our favorite pools and will go there even if we aren't staying there. Lol

You do a great job, you have an eye for good shots!

UX Bonus Streak has crazy volatility, and I'm not a fan. This was my very first hand in any casino, and I still don't like the game. I obviously had to play it though. *coughs*. Too bad the top two lines weren't flipped!

Finally caught back up. Hope you win big at Flamingo!

Ohh I love a good painkiller! I can make them in my sleep but it will be nice to try a pro one. You really do need the Pussers Navy rum or else it's just not right. Such a great report, really enjoying it.

Thanks for all the fantastic info on Bugsy and Meyers. Seems like a great place to go.

I have always enjoyed all your trip reports, but this one is truly spectacular. I really love that you enjoy all aspects, big, small, fancy, not fancy! I am also 56 years old, started going to Vegas in 1987 with my Mom just prior to my wedding, we have returned almost every year though not with your budget.......lol. Flamingo our favourite place, I truly hope we can return some day. Enjoy the day, I look forward to reading about it!!!

Just cancelled Gordon Ramsay Steak for Bugsy & Meyer's. Using my Diamond Celebration Certificate. I'm excited to try something new. Thanks for the helpful pictures.

All caught up. Excellent trip report. I hope that the gambling gods show you favor for the second half of your trip.

I am not really a foodie, but some of those dishes do look good. I may have to take advantage of some of the fine dining opportunities on my next visit.

What did you think?! Too salty or just right? We actually got the same entree, which I thought was the best part of my meal. Not sure I'll return to be honest.

I have a reservation for Bugsy & Meyer’s Thursday night. I’ll report when I get home. Still in the air about 5 hours before we land. I can’t wait to ask you in person about the restaurant. I’ve been to Ramsay Steak about 20 times over the years plus been in AC. Unfortunately, the last two times we found that they were going down hill. Once the main course was not hot (the Kitchen is downstairs). The second time Steak was not up to the usual greatness- it was a bit chewy, I go for the Wagyu RiB cap.

I would say in between. Lol.

I enjoyed my meal there very much so I am not dinging it at all -- to the contrary -- but the options, even on the Wynncore property, are significant and then you add in new favorites like Bugsy. You then need to focus on which ones to go back to before hitting new or other favorites again.

I would go back for sure again, but not before I dine again at Sinatra, Lakeside, Bugsy, etc.

This area is outside the entrance of the Encore Tower Suites.

After dinner I checked out my room at the Flamingo, which was very nice.

Here are some photos though my phone was almost dead so there was no flash.

After dinner I hit the Flamingo VP machines again and later hit them at Encore. I had some decent hits but I play quickly and even playing just five hands, rather than my preferred 10, in quarters, if the hits don't come regularly, you can still have a poor session.

    20201005_191858.jpg 20201005_225600.jpg

I was pretty tired and wound up going to bed "early", which, for me, in Vegas (as opposed to at home) is around midnight.

I got a good night's sleep and then had an important though fortunately short, work call this am. All good there.

But I wasn't feeling too well so I decided to take my blood sugar and yep, it was on the high side. I had had about half of my wonderful but sweet dessert in bed last night :), plus I haven't been drinking enough water.

So I drank a lot of water in the room with some coffee I made and decided I need to chill a bit on the sweets, or, if I do, don't do cocktails, sweet desserts, bread, pasta, etc. etc. all in one meal. :) I do NOT eat like this at home so I am sure my body is saying WTF are you doing? I tend to do Nutrisystem with a lot of veggies and no fat greek yogurt with fruit, etc. and my splurges at home are wine or tequila but no mixed drinks.

    Okay, enough of that.

Today I had been thinking about Mount Charleston but just wasn't in the mood and I am feeling bummed about having "just" five days left in Vegas. My BR has been hit hard since that big win more than a week ago. That's been a bummer but I am so enjoying myself and having the kind of vacation I wanted. So, I am going to focus still on VP but limit myself today to 5 hands in quarters or do 10 play in dimes if I want to do ten play on the old school UX machines, which I like and are plentiful in Wynn and Encore. If I hit I can bump to quarters, half dollars or dollars on the same machine.
