    My Trip Report

I had 16 days in Vegas at the end of July / beginning of August. I worked for three of them. I stayed at:

    Golden Gate
    Flamingo
Fremont (twice, including one stay in a mini suite)
    Paris
    Luxor

I also checked into El Cortez, but did not stay there, for the freebies.

I pretty much stuck to Buffalo and Double Double Bonus video poker, mostly nickels, some quarters and a very tiny dabble in dollars. If you posted in the anti-slot machine wins thread, agreeing with the initial post, you will hate this report. You're welcome.

I think there are two photos of food. I need to get better at this.

    Total word count is 11,349.

Isn't it amazing how fast 2 weeks can fly by when you're NOT stuck at home?!?
    Thanks for another great report!

I could not believe how fast that went! There was a point somewhere in there where I attempted to stay another week but managed to stop myself. I really want to keep going for months.

Great report, I'm getting excited about hitting those same DT spots, soon..
    few thoughts:
-GG rooms still got bad A/C, huh? Every regular room I'm seeing lately is still way better looking than the stairwell "murder" room we got once.
-sounds like another CET "No Com" comp, with the exception being your host actually came through and got it for you.
-loved your writing style, had me LOLing.

    Thanks for the compliment!!

I have stayed at Golden Gate before, normally in winter time. So I can't really gauge if it was a "my room" thing or the entire hotel. It was so god damned warm in there though. I wish I could copy and paste the air conditioning from Paris to Golden Gate.

I stayed at Golden Gate before they redid the rooms to the red/black/white style. I feel like I must have photos of it, but I cannot find where they are saved. I am sure that room was terrible

I didn't use the code for "No Com" so I don't know what I am doing wrong. I will find out on my next trip though. I have a screen shot showing the offer code with the room rates as comped. I don't actually have a host, so it was a random host, which made it even cooler!

    Thanks for reading!

Thanks for the TR - it was a blast to read  Bad hot dime :haha: I felt that “lost” $300 - done that too many times to count :goofy::p Glad you had that run at the end - I just wish those lucky streaks at the end of trips would just start at the beginning and not stop ;)

finished up reading, and almost got lost into your other travels, but also just wanted to add,
As a smoker, I feel your pain. Once, the Cal couldn't put me into a smoking room for the first night. I nearly died.
Got a backup smoking room at the Plaza next night, but also got moved to the smoking floor.

Also, once had a GG suite and was informed all rooms were nonsmoking.
maybe not the case now? :hmmm:

also same same on when then getting a smoke costs $100.

:kill:I think you may have just given yourself a new VMB nickname..
    Can anyone guess it?:p

Once the luck runs out, I sometimes will throw the pennies up in the air and see if they can land on heads again. If not, then housekeeping has a bunch of pennies on tails left behind.

At least when they come at the end, you have a chance of bringing them home (only to bring them back next time!)

My Golden Gate room was "smoking optional" which honestly, is not a thing. On my next trip, I am spending 3 nights (not in a row) in non-smoking hotels. I am going to hate it.

And no clue on the nickname?

Love your writing, thanks for the TR! And there's never such a thing as too many slot win pictures!

Nice report! And nice dealt Aces! Some bad luck with the hotel neighbors though. I wouldn't be surprised if those kids got kicked out. And wonder what the crying woman did to want to keep saying "I'm such a bitch" repeatedly.

Also the first time I was asked not to take pics I was taken aback too. I've been asked 2 times out of 1000+ not to... Most security knows that most casinos doesn't care about you taking pictures of wins.

Re: taking pix.....our locals "forbid" it.....if only they realized it's actually good publicity! When I see wins on here I want to play at THAT casino!
