I went to the Cleveland casino last night after a work meeting. They have free parking for old men like me.

I bought in for $800.00 and in 20 minutes, I was down $400. After another 10 minutes, I was down to my final $80. Never one to lose gracefully, I played it out and an hour later got it all back plus a stellar $6 profit.

I took the $6 profit and drove home hating myself a little less than usual. Long live craps!!

From one Buckeye to another, let me ask. Was Hollywood as fun as the D? Was the food as good as Le Thai? Nope. Go to Vegas. Have a blast. Everyone deserves a break from 2020.

Don't need to feel too bad. It's just gambling, whether in Vegas or at local.
Sometime we win, sometime we lose. More likely lose.

Agreed. Hell, I never play at Hollywood - I've been twice in the past two yhears (ironically both in the past couple months). I can't stand it. I don't like the players, the dealers, anything about it. Yet I found myself there.

Agreed, go to Vegas, have fun. Then come home and lick my wounds if I still have them.

    Thanks all!

And @duffer1991 thats what I envisioned happening. I kept telling myself ("walk away with what you got" but I stayed until the very end - and it didn't go my way. LOL Oh well.

Bad luck gone, good luck only for Vegas!

From a fellow Buckeye and Columbus native.... Stay away from Hollywood Casino!! I'd rather fly for 5-6 hours and go to Vegas then go there!

Amen....I really have to have the itch to walk in that place. Unfortunately, I’m not very smart and a couple times a year make a donation. When they first opened I went a couple times a week

A few years ago we got some ridiculous fare on Frontier out of Cincinnati. Those were night time flights and less than $100 RT. Anyways, on way to airport we stopped at the Jack for a couple hours. I don’t remember how I did, couldn’t have been that bad or I would remember. My point is, what kind of degenerate has to stop at a casino on their way to Vegas.

@buckeyetodd Once I flew back to Cleveland from Las Vegas and had won a couple thousand dollars. I was feeling the vibe and stopped at the Cleveland Jack casino on the way home: TERRIBLE MOOD. I dropped $1,200 even though my intuition was telling me not to play because it was 7 am on a Sunday and the other players were some rough looking young men.

That is the attitude of a true craps player. Now go light it up!!

    Thanks all.

I have shaken off the trauma and am now ready for Vegas. One week from today the shenanigans begin.

Time to get the playlist shored up and make sure work is attended to while I'm gone. There's a small chance a work emergency is going to derail this trip - company still short staffed due to Covid and other departments never realize how they need to involve us until the 11th hour. But I'm confident we'll get it squared away and one week from now I'll be obliterated at a VP bar.

    Updates and a TR incoming.

I do not disgust myself.... but I usually hate myself.

So it was Sunday afternoon. No wife. No kids. The Browns were playing and won thanks to three turnovers and good field position handed to Baker Mayfield.

Might as well hit the casino for an hour or so, right? I got there, bought in for $800 at the craps table based on the dealers I know and got to it. Slowly and surely, 30 minutes later and I was down $200. Another 30 minutes and I was down a total of $450.

Hey duffer1991, don't be a p*ssy. Keep playing you handsome bastard! So I did. I was passed the dice and threw 5 points. That helped. The next roller hit another 4 points. I was down $125 and was going to call it quits. But wait....

There is a new player dressed in Packers gear from head to toe. I have to stay right? He threw lots of inside numbers and hit his point. I was up $250 and cashed out. I stayed to talk to the pit boss and this shooter rolled at least 20 times without a seven. If I had the guts, I would have cleaned up...

On the way to the cashier I saw that they were having a giveaway to players who got 3000 points for the day: a very nice 24-inch hard shelled roller bag. I checked my balance and $25 craps for 90 minutes only got me 2000 points.. WHAT?!?!

Usually $10 craps gets you at least 1500 points per hour. So I played blackjack for 30 minutes to get the points. Won an additional $60 and got my free gift.

But yeah, I still hate myself.

@FuzzyDiceCraps - next time you consider going to Hollywood, you should contact one of your fellow board craps degenerates first so this can occur

Might make you feel better than losing it all, and can still go home a winner with some money for Vegas! :haha:

HAHAHAHA I'm about to watch that movie. I watch it a couple times leading up to every Vegas trip.

And sounds like a deal my friend.

Totally this. Yeah everyone is saying "just go to Vegas" but on a serious note, sometimes it is better to stay home and save money.
