Is someone making an early Oct meet-up?

 

My second favorite movie of all times, behind The Big Lewboski...

 

No official meet up but it looks like a lot of us will be in town in October!

 

@MikeOPensacola and I are meeting for some craps, folks are more than welcome to join.

 

The book is better than the movie!

 

We will be there October 8th thru October 20th at Ballys and Flamingo. I will wear my VMB bracelet.

 

Oct 9-12th, myself and the Mrs, in need of some mental health relief

 

For early-mid Oct, the most number of people is Sun Oct 4 or Thu Oct 8.


Given the circumstances, some outdoor public place would be best, such as:

The Spanish Steps near the plaza area by the Absinthe tent/ outdoor bar /Hell's Kitchen at CP:




The fountain area at CP:



The viewing area across the port cochere at Bellagio:


Maybe Wynn has some area like those where 10 -20 people can stand around and shoot the shit for awhile?

My trip is gonna be a last-minute call, so I don't want to try to organize anything myself, just throwing an idea out there. If I was, I'd just say Spanish Steps at 4:00pm (sunset is ~ 6:15pm) on Oct 4th, and bring $200 cash just in case a group slot pull breaks out.

Under normal circumstances, just meeting at a bar would be a no-brainer, but I'm not sure what the policies are on group seating at bars, and I'm not thinking it's a great idea to do one indoors anyway. People are going to have different risk tolerances, and I think more would be comfortable doing it outdoors. You could always just grab a yard drink or a 40 or something on the way to an outdoor location.

I mean, who wouldn't love to see a pic of 15 socially distanced VMBers swigging quarts of Miller on the Spanish Steps?

 

We will be there 10/17-10/24 but alas it looks like i will miss most of you

The reason I would suggest doing it on the 4th instead of the 3rd is:

• Everybody on the list who's in town on the 3rd is also staying the night of the 4th unless my interpretation of stay lengths is wrong
• 3rd is Saturday and we've seen what weekends are like
• 4th is Sunday, by late afternoon a bunch of people should have cleared out

 

Oh I see @EastCoastVegasFan! is actually leaving on the 3rd, not the 4th.

I think if I was going to do it on the 3rd, I'd shoot for Wynn if there's a good area there.

CP or Bellagio would still work, but Wynn would probably be way more sedate.

 

Looks like Im in the October 8th to 13th (or so) group. Im down for whatever!

 

Lets get a Halloween meetup going! I'll organize. Lets do it early so I'm cogent. Say Cosmo? Happy Hour at the chandelier? I'll likely have been drinking all day at the Golden Tiki by the time I get there.

I get it very late on the 8th (around 11pm) but thanks to @Chuck2009x for this...I'd like to see if any one in Vegas on the 9th is up for a meet/group pull and drinks of course. I've never been part of one but would love too! $100 buy in maybe.?
