I hope the rumors are not true about the sale of PHO. It is our favorite property and with it not being part of Caesars would make us rethink were to focus our play.

looks fine to me. I even reserved a hip room and was able to go up to the point of payment. Our calendar rates should all differ in some way depending on what type of play we give them.

What kills me is how they make some hotels or hotel rooms BLANK when you're logged in. They're kinda saying, hey, we won't comp this room, but don't want you booking it either without totally removing all of your offers. MLife will sometimes be like hey, you want this hella expensive room? Ok, we will give it to you for 200 off a night since we were giving you a 200 dollar room anyway... Oy. Technology.

Yeah i think that's what they're essentially saying..

I'm also guessing that the comp algorithm for Crom and PH is different than it's other properties. Crom and PH crowds tend to be younger party types. They spend a lot more money in non gaming activities like drinks, clubs, private tables with bottle service, and cabanas. And the pay it all out of pocket. I'm guessing they might value those type of guests more than just gaming.

I think it's just a glitch of some sort.

Anybody who would be buying those properties would be buying them as casino hotels. I don't see why the prospective buyer wouldn't want to let CET continue to book comped rooms vs cutting them off and then trying to fill them on their own.

Exactly right. People forget CET no longer owns Rio. It sold in last December, but they have a contact to manage the property for at least two years.

I didn't know CET wasn't Rio anymore. Legit question, why does ANYONE stay there? It isn't really on strip, so at that point wouldn't you rather be at Palms, Downtown, or even Tahiti Village? Not meaning to knock it, I am just wondering what the competitive advantage could be...

I really like the RIo Casino
Has stores that appeal to me, had food options that appeal to me (I am not a fancy guy) Penn & Teller is a great show, limits for tables were always in line. (had dancing girls at night) VP tended to have better pay tables
If it was on the strip, it would likely be my go to property.. but if it was on the strip.. it would not be the things I listed above

I can't speak to the rooms as I have not stayed there because it is too far off the strip. (I was planning a trip once to stay there but right as I was planning they cancelled the strip shuttle and the cost of Ubering back and forth made me stop.)

Oh, a strip shuttle could have been appealing. I wouldn't mind the wait for a shuttle if the rooms were nicer for their value due to being off strip... and the like.

I love the Rio. Rooms are big, and I always get a great view of the strip. Masquerade Suite Strip View: WOW. The casino for me is a comfortable vibe which I like. I like the food options too. Guy Fieri's Mexican restaurant and the Dim Sum place are good.

At one time it was rockin'. All Suite Hotel. Voodoo Lounge with a great view. Masquerade show in the sky. Now I think the biggest attraction is huge rooms absurdly cheap. Voodoo lounge is still there too. They have a wine cellar and tasting room with a huge wine collection and a big convention facility where they host the annual Star Trek convention. Also, they were not charging for parking when everyone else was. It's a great value.

They still have some real High Roller rooms too. Like their 13,000 SQ Ft 6 bedroom Palazzo Villas where each bedroom has it's own Jacuzzi on it's own balcony. I wish they'd bring the masquerade show in the sky back. The investor who bought it paid $517 Million for it. He couldn't have picked a worse time to buy a major Vegas hotel.

Here's what the rooms and suites and villas look like. You can often get a suite there cheaper than a inferior room across the street at Gold Coast.

If you scroll down near the bottom you can see some of their lavish suites and villas with private pools and multiple floors.

Oh. I almost forgot. They have an awesome Zip Line between two towers that I rode back in 2017. It was a blast.

I will put my money on Twin River buying either Planet Hollywood or Cromwell.

So while I doubt the reservations phone line is a font of knowledge, I just got off the phone with them and they said it is showing in their system as reopening on 9/20.....just three days away, so I doubt that. She said if the date gets pushed back, those who have Planet Hollywood reservations are being moved to the Paris.

It was always busy during WSOP. I used to stay there monthly for work trips strictly for convenience. I had to drive around all day and do money collection, it was super easy to get in and out of with quick access to Twain/Valley View. It also kept me up with my CET comps/points, it really wasn't a bad place.

I could see them selling PH/CW, my comp calendar shows like everyone else's. It's showing comp up until 12/21, then unavailable, yet logged out shows pricing. It probably has something to do with selling a room for an actual dollar amount instead of a theoretical (comp) value. I'm hoping to be able to do my Nov trip at Cromwell as it is my favorite and if they do indeed sell it, it may be my last time staying there under a CET comp, lol.

I can easily see CET selling PH. Cromwell has always seemed like an experiment for them, the general high quality everything in the casino does not fit in with the rest of their portfolio. People who like it won’t like most of the rest of their properties and vice versa. It would seem odd if they sold it, though, considering they have it geographically surrounded.

That should be why they SHOULDN'T sell Cromwell. It's one of their only really nice properties, lol. I would 1000 percent cease membership in their loyalty program if this is the case... I like fun slots and fun dealers, and if they drop Cromwell, they'll be down to neither.

If they sold both Cromwell and PH, I would definitely take my business elsewhere.

I realize I already said one thousand percent but like, I was probably lying and would make MLife or something new (Cosmo?) my primary and then use CET for a couple burns or to extend a trip from 3-4 days to 7, IF they kept Planet Hollywood. If they get rid of both, change my thousand to million percent.
