Today was one of the most peculiar environmental or weather days since I moved to CA 28 years ago.

An unusual combination of fires and winds aloft have resulted in the strangest skies. Almost no odor. But ash covering everything outdoors. There've been fires before. Worse. Closer. The skies have been brown or yellow, hazy, smells of burnt barbecue or smoky fireplaces. This is just different. Odd.

I don't know if this specific photo is filtered. But the view as I left my home for work this morning, the sky was this color

The smokes riding higher altitude winds. It's blocking the sun's rays. There was a chill in the air later in the day.

Not scary. Air quality isn't reportedly bad for breathing - illogical with ashfall. But its just plain weird.

 

When you're at a local tribal casino... sit down in the coffee shop, and try to eat healthy. Maybe they shouldn't call this a Caesar Salad
Should be on menu as crouton salad with some lettuce and a drop of chicken
