Gizmo RIP

We will get another dog and it will be a rescue as I feel you are giving them a better life, although it was a family issue that led to Gizmo being in a cage, we took him from there and gave him a great 4 years of his life.

This is my favourite song when watching the Bellagio Fountains, it might seem depressing but the mixture of the song and the fountains is comforting.



When I picked up my daughter from school and told her Gizmo had passed away this was playing on the radio.

 

Knew it would be that before I even clicked play. I love that song. Missed seeing him in Vegas by days, and was gutted. Even though I don't really know any of his music.

Poignant tune to be playing, for sure. Sad times, but Gizmo was lucky to have had such a great last 4 years.

 

You gave him the best years of his life. I hope that brings you comfort.

 

I am so sorry @The Stig. So tough to lose a furry family member.

 

Ours is more like family and coming up on 10 years. She takes some meds but is the center of activities many days. Very loving of my wife and me.

Thanks everyone, we picked up his ashes yesterday. It also come with some of his hair in a bottle and a cast of his paw print.

 

So sorry for your loss. Pets are family. Take comfort in knowing you helped out the little guy when he was in need- that’s what pet parents do.

Glad you have the ashes and the bit of fur. Dogs give humans unconditional love and devotion. We owe them the same.

 

So very sorry. It's never easy when you lose a furry child but the amount of unconditional love and happiness they bring into your life while they are there are always worth it! Sending you virtual hugs.

 

We have been looking for another dog since Gizmo passed away. We have now found our next dog. His name is Toby and he is a Jug, thats a Jack Russell crossed with a Pug. He is a rescue dog he is currently in a foster home. We have been to see him and he is a lovely dog. We should get him in a couple of weeks.
