Glad to see Nomad is re-opening, too. In the first mentions, I saw it listed as possibly not opening at the same time.

It's official! Great news for non-smokers.

Silver City was like a breath of fresh air (I know, I know) when they went non-smoking, but then they went back and then they closed up. I always assumed it was because of the smoking experiment, but then I read a brief article that it had to do with the mall owner selling out?
All I know is I would love a non-smoking casino & bar area. I will probably not live long enough to see that.

Like me! I prefer Mirage's location, but I really liked my stay at NoMad last year, so that may become my new home base.

Wow! This is huge for me. I've already been primarily staying at NoMad the last couple trips, but this solidifies it as my home base going forward.

I love Park's High Limit room and a smoke-free environment makes it unbeatable, IMO. Once everything returns to normal and live events spring back, I can't imagine going anywhere else (except maybe Wynncore!). I loved seeing shows (like Gaga) here, Bavette's is my fav steakhouse in Vegas, etc.

I don't think you can compare a well-situated major casino to Silver City. This seems a great time to try this out on such a scale and in such a locale.

Harrahs Nola went smoke free and it seemed busy after. They do have 3-4 smoking patios with some slot machines in them. Wonder if Park MGM will do anything similar.

MGM National Harbor near us is 100% smoke free and we LOVE IT. Smoking outside in a few select sections and it's glorious.

I was one of the few who enjoyed MC. I will definitely be returning whichever century I return to Vegas!

Agree with Ken, no better time to try.

As smoking has declined in the US over the years, I can see more non smoking casinos. Whether by legal action, for example in PA a bill was introduced to remove the exemption that casinos had in the past from various smoking laws, or from a marketing decision. The below website had various demographic info that could influence a casino, though I am not sure if they really apply to casino patrons.

This will be nice. If only their rooms had better sound proofing... I guess I could always stay at Aria and walk over.

Never got much of my business because of so few craps tables, but I'll be trying to give it a whole lot more now.

Think it would be nice if they had smoking and non smoking section. This sounds bad but I get nervous during table games so smoking helps relax me. I won't be going to Park for table games lol

When I get back to Vegas, I would love to stay here (for the first time) and support their non-smoking endeavor. I hope it sticks!

Hopefully this means less of that extremely nasty skunk smell from pot as well.
