    My Trip Report

Posting here as it’s still 3 days away but I’m really excited for this trip.

I definitely have Vegas fever this year.
Living in AZ makes it easy to get to Vegas for some short trips either by a short 45 minute flight or 4 hour drive.
Usually I visit about 4 times a year but this year I have already been 6 times!! Vegas is my escape. - provides my relaxation and entertainment from what has been a rough year for me and I’m sure for everyone.

I normally go solo and this trip is solo as well, which I have no problem with. I have a stressful job, adult kids and recently divorced after 20 years of marriage. Vegas is my perfect escape and frankly I’m not a big fan of sharing it with my friends and family that don’t love it like I do.

    HOTELS
I am a platinum Mlife lifer, Cosmo gold and play around at Golden Nugget. I don’t love downtown but I have a great host. This trip she hooked me up with limo pick up from airport- Rush tower room and $575 free play.
For the strip part of my trip, a new host from Mandalay Bay emailed me (obviously trying to get people to come) with an offer of a Penthouse Sky View Suite, $300 RC and $250 FP. I have never stayed in this type of suite and I’m excited to try something new. Usually I stay at Bellagio stay well fountain view room or my favorite Cosmo terrace studio. Not sure what I am going to do with a Penthouse suite all to myself but I will definitely share pics if you all want. I always love when I can check in through the VIP lounges- so easy.
So Thursday after work (which will be longest work day EVER) I fly Frontier and head to GN for one night then switch to MB Friday to Sunday.

    MEALS
I love good food and wine/cocktails and have made reservations for Stripsteak, brunch at Bardot Brassiere and always always must have lunch at Javiers for their jalapeño margarita and shrimp and crab enchiladas. The best! Trying to fit in Carbone as well - have been craving their spicy rigatoni. I do wish the bars were open only because it’s more comfortable to sit and eat at bar when solo but not the biggest deal because well it’s Vegas and my true happy place(have I already mentioned that like 10 times... lol )Oh yes and gotta try and hit Pizza Rock Thursday night. Yummo.

    GAMING
I definitely stick to slots and dabble in three card poker. I’m a sucker for Lighting Link, Dancing Drums, Buffalo anything and just recently discovered the mindless fun of Planet Moolah. Want to find that elusive Unicow! Bankroll $800 a day with a little backup.

COVID Vegas is definitely different but I’m used to the masks by now, but I will say the scooters and non regular Vegas clientele are not my favorite. Not trying to be snobby but it’s just different and for a solo woman it’s been annoying being harassed from some sketchy men that won’t leave me alone. Last trip had to get a slot attendant to step in. And that was at Cosmo?!

Also same trip at Cosmo - I was playing my favorite Willy Wonka old school slot and this guy was going off on the poor slot attendant just because she asked him to pull up his mask. He was awful to her all sorts of screaming in her face. Felt so bad for her. She was in tears and since I was only one around I tried to comfort her which she was very appreciative of and sought me out later to thank me. He was a complete asshole

Last side note (sorry I am now rambling) This same last trip I was playing on Dancing Drum explosion at Bellagio. Jumped off and not 15 minute guy hits 3.2 million. That was crushing. Not saying would’ve been the same outcome for me But wow for that guy. He drew a huge crowd and was jumping up and down. It was quite the scene. I probably would have passed out myself.

I absolutely love to follow all of your trip reports and have for years and thank you for them.
Last time I tried to do a TR, I had to leave in the middle of my trip as my son got in a car accident.

I really want to try this time and do live the whole way through. Fingers crossed that I don’t fizzle out
Days before Vegas are the best and the worst Love the anticipation but ready to go!!
    xo JK
PS how do I switch to Trip section when it’s 24hours til go time?

Have a great trip; I’ll be following. If you can, let us know about the bar seating for dining. That would be some very useful info. Go get ‘em and win big!!

I will be at MB at the same time. I will probably see you at moola. From what I can tell there are only 2 seats so getting one may be as elusive as the Unicow. I’m an early riser so hope to get my spins in early. I’m at Venetian now, move to MB on weds night. People seem to always win jackpots sitting near me while I loose and loose so sitting near me is advised.

    Have a great trip!

Oooo nice loving TR already... we have stayed MB few times and familiar w that suite, it’s quite nice not to mention spacious and awesome view. Btw, ask a host (no doubt, you will have access) if you can have Vip check in ; it’s private lounge where they have complimentary snacks, variety drinks and of course coffee also, they have penthouse lounge; I think around 64th floor they open only Friday to Sunday I recall but they will have finger food, mixed drinks, hostess whom works at that floor she’s a awesome lady, she’s been there forever she has some stories lol, they also have tv/movie room! Enjoy it!!

Holy sh*t!!!!!! Wow I’m assuming it was progressive jackpot... don’t you normally have to play maximum amount to hit it usually? (Just wondering, when I play slot I play just middle if not lower amount lol, not a slot player at all) anyhow, so when you play to hit the “jackpot” & you playing maximum $$ it can get costly I’m assuming.

Yes I believe you are right. He was probably playing $5.88 or $10. Those are the two higher to qualify for the highest progressive. I was playing $5.88. Just wanted to cry when I saw it. Lol

T minus 40 hours. I wish it was Thursday! Time to pack. When I drive I always bring a cooler. Harder when I fly. Will limo driver make a stop for me at liquor store?

Going to test Tapatalk photos with some photos of winnings from my last trip and my favorite view [IMG]

Have a safe and great trip! I'm feeling the excitement you have also. I'll be leaving early Friday morning. The last couple of days before a trip seems to go so slow. That's horrible about the guy at Cosmo. People can be such assholes!
