Is the Fountain View worth it for the Cosmo Terrace?

My $0.02 is that the fountain view is worth it, just as much for the view of the fountains as the view of the rest of the strip

You can't see much but this was boulevard, southside, floor 69, and I absolutely loved it. One bedroom for me is great with my girl but either room is great by myself.

I'm of the opinion that even if you can only spend one night with a fountain view you should treat yourself and do it, irregardless of the time of year. I've stayed in a Studio Fountain View two times during Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it. (I even got some blankets and pillows and slept on the sofa on the terrace one evening)

Pictures on VMB are one thing but the experience is hard to beat.

Stayed at Cosmo 2x, both in a terrace studio fountain view. Been to Vegas 40 or more times, and the fountain view room is my favorite. As others have said, it's great to start and end the day looking at the fountains and that entire part of the strip. All of the pics shared here really don't do it justice.

I've stayed in both studio and 1 bedroom this year. Both premium fountain view in Boulevard Tower.

I wouldn't expect bad views on other sides. Others pictures confirm that.

I liked both rooms. I think many are put off by the center closet/dressing area with the bench in the 1 bedroom. It feels like wasted space and makes for a slightly smaller sitting area. But I liked the walk through shower, the giant soaking tub looking out on terrace and bed in the one bedroom. And prefer the bathroom a few feet closer to bed for late night excursions. The studio feels a little more spacious because of open design.

I think they're the nicest rooms on mid strip without upgrade to bigger suites . So much so that, I have reservations for a Bellagio Tower Fountain View in 5 weeks, but got a promo offer for Cosmo 1 bedroom terrace or studio terrace today.... and I'm considering changing.

I'd take whichever provides the view. And, for what it's worth... if no view, I'd request BLVD Tower... I like proximity to casino, restaurants, and the small footprint. I doubt any room is more than 50 steps once you exit elevator.

They are almost identical sq'. The studio is reportedly 10 sq' larger than 1 bedroom.

On our last trip, my better half informed me she prefers the 1BR, regardless of view so she can close the door on my up all night insomniac ass.

Valid point. Though I'm usually not even in the room, I will do some angry hours of pacing around when I'm "done for the night" (and writing TRs).

    :thumbsup:the soaking tub.

We've enjoyed the non fountain view twice now, though, so it may be necessary next time.
It does usually end before either of us show up in the room though.

I do think something about the more enclosed space helps us sleep better, though, our BR in the house is small.

last thing, damn the light in the head is dim AF. Can't read shit.

i have only ever stayed in a fountain view room in the half dozen or so times at Cosmo .....wrap around terrace FV once, 1 br and studio the rest. i don't have a preference between the 1 br and studio. seemed like I've gotten the Chelsea tower more often. (still a great view) i've wondered what the other side would like. I get mesmerized by watching planes land and takeoff also. i think that would be cool for a change

I think I prefer the Boulevard tower to Chelsea now. In addition to the planes, you see a lot of those touring helicopters as well!

Studio bigger than one bedroom? wow that's really deceptive looking then.... i thought that little hallway closet area would be the difference. I wonder where the studio makes up the space

    I didn’t ask, so I suppose that’s possible.

Prefer the fountain view, but this past trip, the fountains were dead.

The non-fountain view I had. Terrace Studio, Boulevard Tower floor 60-something.

I prefer the 1 bedroom because of the soaking tub. It’s so worth it after so much walking! Fountain view is a must. Low floor as well so you can see and hear everything down on the street.

Personally I feel the fountain view with the terrace is one of the main reasons that makes Cosmo rooms worth it. I like the rooms but realistically at the top resorts most rooms can compete with everything but the view and terrace. Cosmo without fountain view is something I won‘t ever do!

I think those Fountain View Terrace rooms offer the best views in town and are definitely worth an upgrade.
