Someone started a thread about when each of us last visited a casino. I thought it might be interesting to gather some thoughts about when your next visit will be. Thanks for participating!

Can't vote as we have no timeline. It will come down to when the bug is gone/contained/we have a vaccine, Vegas becomes Vegas again and how our other travel interests now bottled up play out.

    Unknown.

No casinos around here, and I don't have any big urge to travel, right now.

Thinking of re-booking our September 19th -25th trip. Not sure how much fun it will be with the bars now closed as I usually like to play video poker at the bar top machines. Also concerned over the positive testing average being three times what it is in my area. I might just wait until this pandemic thing cools down a bit.

I need an "unknown" option too. I don't like the WA casinos and I'm not sure I'll be going back to Vegas until this virus is under control or there is an effective vaccine.

If we headed out to the OR Coast, I might swing into Chinook Winds for a little gamble, but as of now I have no plans for the OR Coast.

I said in the other thread that I have some curiosity about how our locals are handling the distancing and masks, and what is open, so I may peek in, but I doubt I'd make an evening out of it. Mostly because I don't like gaming at WA casinos. :)

I don't know. My state is on a lot of East Coast quarantine lists so the only ones I could go to w/out quarantining are MGM National Harbor (that's the closest), Live, and Horseshoe . That are anywhere nearby. But I don't want to.

Since "not on the whiteboard" isn't an option, I chose "a matter of years". By 'casino', I refer only to Vegas strip venues. The SHR in Tampa? Until such time as we are 100% pre-covid functionality, you won't see me there.

I’ll be going to Encore Boston Harbor next weekend to use some freeplay. It’s quite clean there so I feel okay with it.

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)

I picked a matter of months but in reality it’s like 12-18 months. If my kids aren’t allowed back in their classrooms, I can’t see myself going until that is considered a safe activity (just as a barometer). Casinos need to survive but I can put this off for awhile. I chose to take a 2-year sabbatical away from Vegas from 2017 to 2019. Looks like I’ll take another 2-year’s off. Oh well.

We leave Thursday on a Laughlin Harrahs junket. :) Never been to Laughlin and not expecting excitement. Looking forward to a little R&R on the river.

Vegas is hard to say. I likely will say when a vaccine is out. Very frustrating as the offers I am receiving right now are great.

We went to Minocqua for the weekend in July - temperature scanners at all doors, masks required, no smoking, lots of machines off so you aren't right next to someone etc. Pool closed in the hotel. I felt very safe there. Less safe when we ate in town even though they were trying.

I go on Wednesday nights to local since they reopened. Mask required. Manual temp check with a gun at entry. No smoking/vaping. No food open. No hotel. No bingo. Bar finally opened Wed-Sun a few weeks ago. They will sanitize machine if you turn your light on when you sit down, but I grab wipes from their buckets & do it myself. Had been very quiet on Wednesdays, however there were a lot of people there this last week.

I made a cross country trip from NJ in June, them a last minute trip flying out there in July. I may go to Vegas for the Super Bowl, that is if there’s a Super Bowl, and there’s party’s available to attend.

I forget that I have an overnight trip to AC in September. I haven’t been there in over 5 years, even though I live a little over an hour away. The wife doesn’t care to go to Vegas, so the last few trips have been solo. But she doesn’t mind an overnight night trip to AC, as we only have to leave the dog in the kennel for one night.

The only place besides Vegas I am interested in casino wise is Ruidoso, NM/Inn of the Mountain Gods and it closed again. It is about an eight hour drive for me. I have no interest in going to Louisiana or Oklahoma -- nothing against either state but if I am going to drive I want to drive towards the mountains. I'm shooting for January for our anniversary. I'll go when I feel it will be a real vacation for me.

    Local? Never have, never will.

Vegas? When this virus is contained/treatment is working.

I put months because while I’m on the fence due to COVID, I just bought a house so from a financially sensible move, either way I probably made the right move delaying to November. If I have to extend it again that’s fine, but it’s nice to have something to look forward to, even if it doesn’t happen right away.
