Thanks and that is what I was thinking.
Just got a refund on a couple wagers on NHL division winners wagers I made in October.

They must have changed the policy since the last week of July. When we were there they specifically told us we only needed masks if walking around pool outside, not sitting in lounger since they were spaced apart. Which surprised me for how on top of masks they were everywhere else in the resort compared to the other ones we visited on our trip. Thanks for the live TR look forward to heading back next month.

Out of curiosity, do they factor those bigger bets into your average bet calculation, or do you need to be betting such sums consistently for it to affect your average?

E.g. if only five or ten of your bets are $20k but the rest are between $1k and $5k for instance, would those $20k bets raise your average for the sake of theo calculations?

Like I said, they didn't seem to be enforcing it, so maybe the employees still think the old policy is in effect. Generally, outside of the restaurants, I would say mask compliance at Wynn has been around 90%. Just got back from CP and bellagio and compliance was significantly less at those resorts

The short answer is yes. In high limits, you can make one bet and they will factor that into your ADT. At other resorts in the past, supervisors told me that all action in high limit rooms is recorded and reviewed, usually within 24 hours. So the supervisor takes notes while you're playing to estimate your average wager. But they can calculate it to the penny upon review if they are so inclined.

As an aside, I have told the story in the past about Aria refunding me several hundred dollars from action the day before when they realized while watching the tapes that the dealer made a mistake in removing some lammers for baccarat commission I had already paid (I didn't even realize the mistake until they told me the next day). So I am very pleased they review those tapes.

Quick update. My lega are worn out! Just hiked down to CP to cash my NBA season wagers. As exepected, the season win total bets were all refunds, but the make playoff prop bets paid! Be aware, they have converted entirely to WH gaming for their book now. So if you have older CP tickets (like I did) it takes a few extra minutes to get paid. Basically, they only have one machone that can run those tickets.

After that, I walked over to Bellagio and wagered the NFL season. Here's what I went with:
    *Seahawk over 9.5
    *Cowboys over 9.5
    *Bears under 8.5
    *Giants under 6.5
    *Rams under 8.5
    *Chargers under 7.5
    *Colts over 8.5
    *Texans under 7.5
    *Cards over 6.5
    *Ravens over 11.5

Both CP and Bellagio were packed. I was kind of surprised by the size of the crowds and I was happy to get out of there as fast as I could. But after a three+ mile walks in that heat, I was ready for a shower back at the Wynn. Now I am chugging water and planning to go finish the shopping spree once my legs recover a bit

Just wondering why you wouldn't eat indoors at the moment. Isn't Wynn keeping tables spaced enough or are you just generally hesitant to eat indoors? We are there next week and really want to try Cipriani.

Are you seeing unmasked people in the casino? I figured at Wynn mask compliance would be close to 100%. I know the workers can't be everywhere all the time, but they've gotten a reputation for being very strict about enforcement.

I'm booked to stay there in a few weeks. 90% is disappointing to me.

Thanks for the opinion/report on safety. I was starting to feel crazy reading all these reports of 100% compliance everywhere when any video I pull up on YouTube right now shows that’s obviously not the case at all. Only way folks can make an informed decision is for people to give these reports.

Hope the luck continues and you find the merchandise you’re looking for. I hadn’t considered the pain of placing bets with an operator only to have them leave prior to season end. I’m looking forward to WH taking over at Cosmo.

The tables are well distanced inside the restaurants (and outdoors as well). But essentially nobody (other than employees) are wearing masks in every restaurant I have been to or walked past. Of course youre allowed to take a mask off to eat and drink, but guests are simply removing masks as soon as they sit down and never putting them back on until they leave the restaurant. Combine no masks, being indoors, and HVAC running at full bast because of the heat, and that's not a safe scenario. At breakfast it was even more stunning to me because the atrium seating had multiple large groups, effectively all sitting in a small room together, laughing and speaking loudly, and not a single person was wearing a mask the entire time. Even though I have sat outside to eat, I still put my mask back on anytme I paused from eating for anything longer than a pause between bites. There's just no reason to sit there without a mask while you're waiting for food or have already finished eating.

And that's at the Wynn, where do think across the board they are trying harder than other places. I can't imagine the lack of safety recautions at other places.

Let me be clear, Wynn is doing a better job than the other places I have visited. I have even seen them tell a few people to pull their masks up at the gaming tables. But away from the tables, they really aren't saying anything. I would estimate that ten percent of guests have a mask pulled down below their chin or not covering their nose (and barely their mouth) and they are just walkig around like that. plus, I described what I saw in the restaurants and the pool (athough the pool seems less of a risk since its outdoors). I would not say the saff is being strict, though. They are definitely letting looky loos and entourages stand next to people gambling at craps and baccarat. And I observed multiple people walking into the resort, right past the screeners, with their masks pulled down and the security workers said nothing to them. CP and Bellagio (and walking the Strip generally) was much, much worse in terms of compliance, but Wynn is far from perfect

I haven't seen 100% cmpliance anywhere. Anyone saying that is lying. Plus, I've just been writing about mask compliance. Forget social distancing in lines! That isn't happening at all.

Everyone has their own level of tolerance for risk. Especially gamblers!!! But anyone who thinks Vegas is risk free from the pandemic has engaged in some kind of cognitive dissoance I can't explain. I knew going in that my tolerance level is low. So I planned things out pretty meticulously to try and stay safe. Having the advantage of some High Roller experiences makes that easier (less gamblers in the high limit, separate checkin, transportation, etc.). Other than the flight, I have only shared close proximity airspace for more than 15 minutes with a handfull of dealers, casino supervisors, oe driver, and a couple clerks at stores. And we all wore masks during those interactions. So I feel its unlikely I have done anything to risk infection, but if I am hoest with myself, I know I took on a non-negligible risk. Thankfully, even if I have made a terrible mistake, I really only interact with about three other people at home presently. I live in a pretty small bubble. So at least I wouldn't become some sort of patient zero spreading my germs everywhere. I'm already thinking of sleeping in a different room for a week after I get home (not a joke) just to be extra cautious.

I guess wha I'm saying is that if you are risk averse, I wouldn't go to Vegas right now. But if you come, please think about others and follow the rules. I have followed the rules assiduously and still had a good time.

    OK, quick afternoon update.

After resting for a bit, i resumed the shopping spree. Ended up getting more shoes at Kenzo, more clothes from a couple different shops, and some loungewear for my partner back at the Encore spa shop. And while over there, I hit the $100 BJ tables! Played one shoe, left up $700, and now I can get a full strap when I settle up tonight (uness something goes terribly wrong; always a risk lol).

Now I am resting again. Will probably just chill int he suite til dinner. I will try to post more pics then
