    My Trip Report

We decided to take a quick one night trip to take advantage of my husband's free play and see how things have changed since the initial reopening in May. Here are the key highlights / observations:

    • Surprisingly, at check in we were upgraded to a "premium suite". We have previously stayed in a suite, but this one was much larger and had 1 1/2 bathrooms. Although very clean, it was definitely in need of an update

    • The casino floor was packed! Definitely way above 30-40% capacity. Every slot turned on was being played and every seat at the tables occupied. However, everyone was wearing a mask and although employees couldn't sanitize slots given the crowd, there were sanitizing wipes available throughout the casino so you could wipe down the slot yourself. Also there was plenty of hand sanitizer throughout the casino floor. The Rotunda is apparently going through some renovation as it's completely boarded up to the 2nd floor. As such, the smoking area has been moved outside to the temporarily closed casino valet.
    • We only played slots this time & they were hot! We left up $7K for the trip with 1 hand-pay & a couple of good sessions, primarily on Buffalo Gold

    • We had a couple of good dining experiences as well. We used one of the 7* dining celebration awards at Brio. Service was great, food ok - not as good as normal and the menu was limited, We also used RCs for breakfast room services. It was great and delivered within 15 minutes of ordering.
    Overall a great quick getaway!!

We were there mid week a few days before you. Slots were very available then. As said, wipes are available for those concerned. Mask usage was very high.

We always do Brio - but the limited menu cut a few usual items. And to be honest, it was not as good as usual. Still just fine though.

We have been in that suite a few times. Dated but nice - and were unable to get it this time around. They do have many rooms shut down for updating in the original tower.

Was a good trip. Glad to you able to take some of MY money home with you.

Congrats on your fabulous wins!! I was there last week and was so pleased to have the very nice and very large indoor pool all to myself. After a great time there, I hit the slots (yes, casino surprisingly crowded) and left you $75:) I am there again this week for one night and hope weather is good enough for me to stop and see the spectacular view at Waterrock Knob.

To clarify do you mean the tables were packed in the new social distance configuration or back to business as usual with 5 at a table and up to 12 rolling the dice??

Completely agree regarding Brio. I was a little disappointed but for the tip only, it was perfectly fine. And thanks for the deposit $$$ - we got back some of what we left there before LOL

Thank you!! I have never even seen their indoor pool. I will need to check it out the next time. Hope the weather improves - it was horrible Friday / Saturday. Good luck!!

Packed per the new social distancing protocol - 3 to a table. Didn't check the craps tables.
