After reading a bunch of TRs, posts, & even some Tripadvisor reviews, it seems like the environment at Aria is not as clean & the service not as good as it was pre-Rona (the scooter thing is a little unnerving as well).

I was thinking of switching to Bellagio or paying for Palazzo, but always wanted to stay at Aria after hearing such great things about the rooms & restaurants.

Any other first-hand experiences you want to share, good or bad? Has the service changed significantly?

This is exactly what I wanted to post. Following.
Based off of other posts it seems the current crowds in Vegas is less than favorable. I'll leave it at that. But I haven't heard about Aria much. I'm hoping it's as classy as ever as I want to stay at SS.

MGM right now is cutting corners in big ways, even in their high end product.

Aria, Sky Suites included is being run on a much lower level than usual, for example, drastically limited room service hours, minimal housekeeping, etc. If you want the best MGM has to offer, Mansion excepted, Bellagio is it for run of the mill rooms as they seem to still be trying to accommodate the high end player as much as possible, Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore, or Cosmo if you want the best possible experience.

I really wanted to check out Cosmo this trip, put in some play over there to see if I can generate any offers. Much of the reason why I chose Aria over Bellagio, especially since the Tram is still shut down.

But if the rooms & service are subpar or grouchy, I'll change to Bellagio.

A poster on here stayed in a 2 Bed Penthouse.
There were some broken things, service was okay. Apparently Aria smells like weed. Room service is a joke as I mentioned.

I lost about $700 in less than 10 minutes at Cosmo during my June trip on slots. Never played there before. They sent me an offer for 2 free nights.

I'm in the camp that believes in paying for the stay I want vs the free one I can get. Especially now where everything is weird.

Sky Suites have been worn down a bit. Kinda needs a renovation. A lot of the walls are tearing lol.
I may stay at the Bellagio then if I hear more about this. SS has just always been 10/10. It's hard to part ways.

Hmm, you make a good point. That's why I was on the fence about staying at Palazzo. I recall drink service was not so good there, but then again the last time I stayed there was well over 5 years ago. Maybe I should rethink my plan now, lol.

For the record my last stay at Bellagio, in a Grand Lakeview Suite was eye opening. Cigarettes on the patio in a cup of water, eaten chicken wings on the ledge along with a pair of sun bleached panties. The chandelier over the dining table was loose.

My subsequent Aria stay was technically better, though I was in a Villa. Still, TV didn't work in the living room.

Meanwhile my last two stays at Encore have been perfect.

@Lulu4545 Lol. Nooo. We all party the same!
@Paul K Yeah I'd expect the Villas to be top notch.

Looks like I'm just staying at Paris again, lol. The bigger the room the more problems.

Haha, I know. I was just kidding. One day I'll get myself a nice Villa or Sky Suite without feeling guilty about spending so much on it, lol.

Now is the time for a Sky Suite. Penthouses are the cheapest they've ever been. If you ever want a villa, upgrade at check in. $1700 for the small 2 Bed, $2500 for the big 2 Bed.

Basically that is half off or more.

@Lulu4545 I stayed in the 2 bedroom skysuite 2 weeks ago. I was there Thursday-Sun.

I didn't notice a change of vibe within the Aria. Still a pretty classy clientele, but I can't say it's the same once you step outside the doors. When I checked in, HSKP services were definitely not up to par. Many things broken inside the suite and I found underwear inside one of the drawers.

I never has to wait for an elevator in the sky suites entrance. But I did see lines often at the Resort guest rooms entrance. Drink service at Aria was pretty good too.

Unless your staying at the Wynn, I think you are going to realize every property has taken some shortcuts towards certain departments.

@amazub88 Thanks for the input. Elevator wait times is something I'm looking for info about too, since the bf hates riding in elevators, the faster & quicker the line the better. But after reading about the Sky Suites service from multiple sources, I'd rather spend my money at V/P. The last time we stayed at Encore the bf did not like the vibe or the gambling, & someone with access to our room took his bag of cigars from his luggage, so they are no longer on my radar, lol.

That is one of the nice things about being at SS. You will never be in the elevator with someone else lol. Okay... not completely true but you get me.
I didn't think about that actually... I'm sure they're not allowing a packed elevator so places like the Linq must have long wait times. I bet it's like Disneyland, lol.

We will be there Friday-Sunday! I’m hoping all this negative stuff I’m reading does not come to pass on our trip as the rates are pretty solid right now. Cheapest I’ve ever seen for a 1BR penthouse so we are giving it a go

It seems like it's just housekeeping that has been kinda funky. And even then, it's not every room. I think you'll have an amazing time. We've all had somethinggg happen to our room. I had a box of cheeze-its in the trash when I arrived one. I have no idea how that got past Lol!
Will be looking forward to a trip report, and if you don't do one, come back here and let us know how it went. ;D

Our last trip July 17-19 was supposed to be a comp at NoMad, was moved to Bellagio, since we’re not fans of the food options at Bellagio we decided to cancel and book Aria via my travel agent on virtuoso instead of taking a comp as hadn’t stayed at Aria before. Long story short, comp or paid we won’t stay at Aria again. There were many hotel related issues that as an MLife Plat and a virtuoso customer were unacceptable. Our first night at the slots was very successful although it took almost 2 hours and asking a floor manager three times to finally get cocktail service. The second night cocktail service was slightly better but the slots were a complete bust. The casino was crowded and there seemed to be very little mask enforcement. In the non casino areas and especially the promenade level outside of the restaurants there was no enforcement at all and I would say 1 in 10 people had on mask or attempted to distance. Our floor reeked of marijuana and seemed to be over ran with rooms filled over capacity. To top off the stay, as we had taken no front end comps I asked the MLife desk if they could do anything on the backend and they declined outside of telling me to use express comps.

Disappointing to hear things might be slipping in the SS.
Normally stay 4 times every year and with a couple exceptions things have always been great.
Have not been there since the lockdown and probably will not go until next year.
Hope to see some TRs for updates on conditions.
