UPDATE:
Whirlwinds and rollercoasters are the only words I can think to describe the last 24 hours of my life! I just received the first update from my mom in about 12 hours since she’s been trying to rest and get info herself with the limited time she can be at the hospital.

Dad has been responding to commands and complaining of pain so his neurological functions are starting to show signs of hope. He still needs assistance breathing but going to ween him off and see how his body responds. He’s got some blood loss which is a concern, but praying it’s just because of the trauma and not from the repairs that had to be done. Far from out of the woods but it’s a path that doctors wanted to see!
