I live in Canada and I've been itching to do a Vegas trip for months now. I can't go though since Canadian border rules require 14 day quarantine at home when we return and I can't be away from the office for that long. Working from home is not an option either at this time. I'm in need of a fix but Casino's in my city haven't opened up table games yet and I don't think they will for a long time. Slots are open but I have not interest to play those and won't do it for me. Any other Canadians out there who share my frustration?

Not sure if anyone remembers this commercial from the 80's but.... Oh Calgon.... take me away!

Not a Canadian, but an American who travels to Windsor at least a few times a year. We planned to go in March for my wife's birthday. Had a suite in the adults only tower, planning to sit in the hot tub, enjoy that buffet and play some cards together.

It's only a few hours away, but us Americans have been banned for a long time.

I know exactly what your talking about!
For the last 15 years I have went to Vegas at least once a year and for the last 8ish years it has increased up to 2-3 trips a year.
At this point I am pretty confident this will be the first year I don't see Vegas since my 25th birthday.
Living in Ontario, we do not even have slots open yet. (they have the go ahead to open but only letting 50 people in the building so none of them have opened)

While I really want a Vegas trip I would settle for a Caesars Windsor trip at this point (that has table games and slots open) but who knows how long that will be.
Scratch tickets just to not "Scratch the Itch".

I am guessing Windsor will move to stage 3 this week but that does not change the 50 person limit..

I paid the quarantine price for a trip at the end of June/July when I did Vegas-California-Tahoe-Reno. Had the best time and it was worth it, but I work from home right now. However, as much as I love Vegas, I would not pay the two week quarantine price for 3-4 days just for Vegas.

Same here. We go to Windsor 5 or 6 times a year and it is a two hour trip from my garage to their parking garage. We miss the casino and the local breweries.

Living in Niagara, we visit Seneca, casino Niagara and fallsview in addition to the odd trip to Windsor and of course lv. I had an itch a couple weeks ago but, it seemed to disappear again after five trips to the range and looking fwd to my first round in two years (shoulder injury and busy life). Golf should carry me through to late fall then....

I still am not keen on plexi, masks etc. I think I would rather do other things than Vegas like that but, if this takes on a more permanent look who knows.

Yes, totally feeling your pain. I am used to doing 3 or 4 trips a year and always having something to look forward to. I was supposed to be in Vegas in March as everything was shutting down. Then was supposed to go in July. Now I am not sure when I will be able to go. I can't do the isolation for 14 days either right now to come back to Canada. I am in BC and they are saying they won't be opening Casino's here until there is a vaccine! Not that it really matters as I have only been to the Casino here once and it wasn't all that fun. But this is the longest I haven't left BC, last time I was away was in December. I am used to leaving Canada a lot, to Vegas, to LA, and also for my son's tournaments for baseball. I suspect even if they do open the border, which doesn't sound likely, they will still require the two week isolation. I know BC will anyways.

The problem is not so much whether the casinos are open in Canada. It is the 14 day quarantine required when crossing to Canada from the USA.

    I agree with this comment.
Wearing a mask is not comfortable and on vacations I want to be comfortable. In Las Vegas I will usually spend 12 hours a day or more inside casinos. I want to be comfortable during this time so I would likely not go to vegas until either this changes OR it becomes a new permanent and I have to decide between no vegas ever or wearing a mask
I would however go to the local casinos wearing a mask because I would only expect to be there for 4 hours or so before leaving.
