Anyone know if they still have it? I know a lot of places have scrapped their promotions due to covid and the 50% capacity. I want to go tonight and I would call but they don't open until 5 which is when I want to go. Anyone been lately?

I went a couple weeks ago but that's not a particularly useful data point given how often things change. How things were at the beginning of the month is not indicative of how things will be today. There are a bunch of recent Yelp reviews referencing the happy hour, for whatever that's worth.

Also, I'd try to call, maybe not at 9:30am, but maybe before you'd leave the house. 5pm is when they start serving, but in my restaurant experience, they'll have someone there to answer the phones at least a little bit early.

Great bar, though. Nectaly is a great guy.

July 12th posting on their Facebook page "One more day until we open make your reservations now. Herbs & Rye will be offering Happy Hour all day until further notice. We understand with the limited seating capacity, we will not be able to accommodate as many guests during the previous happy hour times, so we have chosen to extend happy hour to ensure all of our customers are able to enjoy it. We are excited to open our doors and offer all guests the chance to enjoy happy hour at whatever time they chose to do so."

So I went Tuesday night and it was awesome! Highly recommend this place. They have extended their happy hour to be all day everyday now. Half off all steaks and few other items on the menu. Mix drinks were only $5 I thought that was pretty good deal as well. The wife had the filet and it was really good. Best steak she's ever had she said. She is not a connoisseur by any means. I am a ribeye kind of guy but ordered the New York Strip for some reason. It was really good but wish I had got the ribeye. After trying the wifes filet I will probably order that next time as it was delicious and the right amount of food to eat without feeling disgusting afterwards. The peppercorn sauce was amazing served on the side. Had french onion soup and Tomato Caprese as appetizers. The soup was decent nothing amazing but at least not salty as many french onions are. The Tomato Caprese was spot on. Garlic mash potatoes and a spicy pasta dish that was also half off were both good. Was gonna get the mac and cheese as a side but we saw the half off pasta dish so went for that instead. 2 steaks, 2 appetizers, a side, full pasta dish, 2 sauces for the steaks, 2 rum and cokes and bill was $127 tax in. Rounded up to $150 with tip, service was great. They are a very busy place. On line reservations were booked for weeks for any decent time, so I thought I would just go and try to get a table. Hostess told me it would be 30-60 mins and they will text me. When they text if you text back they hold the table for 15 mins.I had a feeling this would happen so had already planned to go to Palace Station while we wait. 3-4 minute drive away. Lost some money on video poker had two beers and they texted probably 30-40 mins later. Palace Station was way nicer than I thought it would be. We were planning to go back after dinner but we were way too full and lazy after dinner we just went home. Will definitely make Herbs and Rye with some Palace Station a once or even twice a month thing great value IMO.

Same here... It just seems like a great deal for good food.

Anyone have a bad experience there?

I had a horrible experience in the building. It was once the Slanted Clam which was a full on dump where I found a bloody needle in the bathroom. Makes me appreciate what they did to that place even more. Such a great restaurant.

Sounds like Palace Station parking lot.. When i first moved here 13 years ago i would go there for the sportsbook and i still remember getting out of my car with flip flops on and almost stepping on a pile of needles.... good times lol. Havent been back in probably 10+ years now but at least they put lipstick on that pig
