I've cheated at the Orleans, drinking gift shop beer on the floor, and never been called out for it. Ditto at Paris and several other places.

It’s possible it could be a brand of beer not sold in the casino, which would be a dead giveaway.

In general, I believe these rules exist as a general principle of not bringing outside alcohol into a licensed alcohol-serving establishment. Just as it would be a risk to the liquor license of a bar owner if they permitted outside drinks, I suspect the same might apply to a casino with their license.

Would be curious about all these goings on as we have Sky Suites reserved for this weekend, but if we have to wear masks at the pool and can’t get drinks anywhere without having to sit and wait we may be re-thinking this trip.

Are they allowed to bring you drinks to your pool chair?

I always have drinks in my room, never been stop
I believe you have to have a cabana, daybed or pod to get drink service. If you have a random lounge chair, I am not sure if it's possible to get a drink.

Well that sucks. I'm not paying for a cabana just to have a drink.

I often bring some kind of quart-ish sized hydration-type bottle with an adult potion of some sort to the casino floor and nobody's ever said anything.

Can't currently do that in AC or Mass though.

AC no drinks service at all. In Mass. they have CW service but you're not allowed to carry a drink around.

Hmmm, I wonder if you can somehow shift from seat to seat all the way across the casino without actually standing up.

Just wanted to correct a little something - I reached out to Aria and they said they are serving drinks to people in pool chairs. I see from others who have been in the last week they could still get drinks at the pool - you just can't walk up to the bar.

Least of their concerns downtown, also grab a cup at the door and pour it in there.
Bought two Kirin tallboys at ABC, drank one at GG, (poured into a cup), the other at Plaza.
Lasted just long enough to find a cocktail waitress. (none came at GG)

No problems at Cosmo, a mini of Hennessey, discreetly sipped, did the same.
Without these measures, it could be an hour wait, and I'd probably get the shakes.

He is having a press conference at 5pm to "update Nevadans on the COVID19 Response plan". I'll be watching and posting what he says.

Shorter Governor, so far: The restrictions put in place for the four counties (including Clark County) will remain in effect for now.

We are in a very precarious position. Walking tightrope between public health safety and economic issues.

Not yet. I missed some of the criteria so I hope to find that tomorrow. But they will reevaluate every Thursday.

Thanks. I just made a post in this thread - https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?posts/2080205/ with the updated criteria. This is basically it.

Here is how it will work:

The approach hinges on data analysis run by the Department of Health and Human Services every Thursday that will look at cases, tests and test positivity rates to determine each county’s risk level. The COVID-19 Response Task Force, made up of representatives from several state agencies, the Nevada Hospital Association, the Nevada Association of Counties, the Nevada League of Cities and the Nevada State Public Health Lab, will review the analysis and inform county leaders of their status.

If counties don’t meet two or more criteria, they’ll enter into an assessment process with the task force and develop an action plan. The action plan could result in reducing the size of public gatherings or limiting capacity in certain high-risk settings, according to Caleb Cage, Nevada’s COVID-19 response director.

    The three criteria are:
    • The average number of tests per day per 100,000, calculated over a 14-day period. If this number is less than 150, a county could be considered at risk.
    • The case rate per 100,000, calculated by taking the number of cases diagnosed and reported over a 30-day period. If this number is greater than 200, a county could be considered at risk.
    • The case rate per 100,000 and the test positivity rate, calculated over a 14-day period with a seven-day lag. If the case rate is greater than 50 and the test positivity rate is greater than 7.0 percent, a county could be considered at risk.
Counties that meet no criteria will be considered “low risk,” those that meet one will be “growing risk,” those that meet two will be “moderate risk” and those that meet three will be “high risk.”

Based on each county’s risk level, they could be put on one of three mitigation levels: the baseline level, which means following current directives; mitigation level one, which could include targeted action to address spread, limits on capacity in high-risk settings and limits on public gatherings to no more than 25 people; and mitigation level 2, which could include targeted action to address spread, removal of business licenses for non-compliant business and a possibly return to the state’s Phase 1 guidance.

I have not yet had time to do the math for the numbers for the first two criteria in Clark County, but the third is easy to see. Right now it is above 10% for Nevada as a whole and most cases are in Clark County. Until that number is under 7% and at least one of the other criteria is met, there probably won't be open bars in Las Vegas Casinos.
