If you watch Bone Tomahawk as a Western, then the second half applies.
If you watch Bone Tomahawk as a Horror, then the first half applies.
Yes, I've got love/hate with this one. It's depends on the mindset at the moment.

In fairness @Richard Alpert it IS kinda weird that you actually remembered the hooker's name from your last visit.

I have seen that film at least ten times and I don't recall those moments (other than the end of the film). I guess since Michael's charater arc is the slow transformation into an emotionless zombie, I can see how someone might feel the movie drags. I just don't remember it

The movie Wait Until Dark. The scene where the apartment is dark and Audrey Hepburn is trying to hide demo Alan Arkin. You can hear him drag himself along the floor because she stabbed him and then the leaps out at her. Scares the crap out of me every time!

The sequence in Pulp Fiction where Butch and Fabienne are lying in bed and she's talking about how pot bellies are very sexy on a woman. Interminable.

Add to it, the taxi scene immediately preceding it (which was actually cut down significantly)

I read the book written by Gianni Russo who played Carlo, he said that because the movie was nominated for an Oscar they couldn't then go back to edit the fake punch.

Top Gun, the "Take my breath away" love scene. IMO, not needed

I always found this scene disturbing. Dude you’re at work! Don’t sit at your desk in your chonies.

You beat me to the punch- or to the no punch. Such a great film. I know the editing job took forever, but the result was magic- except for that scene.

Top Gun: "That is right, but I held something back. I see some real genius in your flying, Maverick, but I can't say that in there. I was afraid that everyone in the TACTS trailer would see right through me, and I just don't want anyone to know that I've fallen for you."

    Awkward, cheesy . . . . .

    I said " Oh......Rocky - too many "

And than ba ba ba boom, ba ba boom, ba ba boom, “Take my breath away”, ba ba boom.

That whole scene from where there reviewing his incident with the MiG to there little car chase and into, “Take My Breath Away” love scene is the cheesiest most poorly written cliche crap ever and I love every cheesy minute of it.

Some of the cheesy lines said up to the love scene, all said in overly snobby bro type tone:

    - “What where you thinking lieutenant?” “Up there you don’t have time to think.”

    - “unfortunately the maneuver worked. Now let’s look at a textbook maneuver.”

    - One of the other classmates slowly leans over the chair of Cruises character and whispers, “gutsiest move I’ve ever seen”, Tom Cruise just nods his head in cocky acknowledgment.

Just watch this clip below. Notice how arrogantly Cruise walks in his bomber jacket. Notice how it always seems to be right around dusk in every scene in this movie. Notice how the cars perfectly stop as there racing down the road. Did he drive and stop at her place where they have there cliche argument and kiss? Wasn’t that convenient.
