I agree. Housekeeping should be amazing in the Sky Suites (and, really, all rooms at Aria). It should be well above the "old normal" standards. What was described is annoying and I hope it was reported to management.

    Enjoying the report!

man I love playing HL baccarat especially at Aria ... but I never had big luck winning large amount if I’m up $5k-$10k I usually call it quit. Anyhow, good luck and keep it going!!!

I’m surprised that aria doesn’t care you at type of level you play

    Hello All,

Sorry I been occupied last few days and have not kept up my update.

7/24: We woke up in the morning and decided to dine at Salt & Ivy inside the Aria. It was our first time dining there and we actuallly enjoyed it. The menu is diverse and there is seating inside and outdoors too. I ordered the scrambled eggs with hash browns and bacon.

After breakfast I had a morning session inside the HL baccarat room. It was a rollercoaster session, but I ended up winning $6,000. I had a host who introduced herself to me during my session. She told me she had taken care of the room upgrade fees and will take care of my F&B. She asked if my friend and I had ever been to Yellowtail at the Bellagio. We replied no and she offered to have a limo take us there for dinner.

After my morning session, I decided to go shopping at Louis Vuitton inside City Center and buy a men's wallet. I found something that I liked and paid for it with my morning winnings! There were lines for the major luxury stores inside City Center.

After shopping, we decided to take a nap as we did not sleep until 4am that morning. We woke up and got ready for our limo pick up to take us to Yellowtail. Our driver was already waiting for us at the North entrance of the Aria and the ride was only five minutes long.

Yellowtail was pretty delicious. I loved their seaweed salad and Kalbi rolls. Service was friendly and I enjoyed the restaurants ambiance. After dinner, we didn't take up our driver's offer to have us picked up. We had decided to explore some of Harrah's casinos. I had taken $5,000 with me and probably donated it evenly between Paris and Bally's on their table games. We enjoyed our walk back to Aria. On this particular Friday night, the Strip seem like it was normal. There were lots of people on the strip and people were having fun. One thing that was annoying were the absurd number of people on those scooters. Many of them were operating it on the sidewalks with zero regard for pedestrians.

On a Thursday night where maybe 80% of the outside Strip visitors actually wore a mask, the percentage went down on the Friday night. I would say 50% either wore no mask or had a mask, but it was drawn down.

I forget to add this too. I had talked to the front desk girl at SkySuites about my concerns with the cleanliness of the room. I had mentioned that the light in the powder room was out, jet tub malfunctioning inside one of the bedrooms and the underwear inside the drawer. All she was able to do is apologize profusely and offer me $25 resort credit.

You can still squeeze cards at both casinos. Both casinos were $100 minimum for baccarat squeeze.

@Jer I wasn't made aware of any access to a house car unfortunately.

Thanks... That’s a shame about the front desk and the way that was handled. I’d mention it to your new host just in case. They can make things happen, especially if you use Aria another time in the future.

+1. That is absolutely ridiculous and so ill advised/a bad business move by Aria.

It's pretty clear that Vegas is going to be in tough spot economically for at least a year. @Sonya's Covid-19 thread yesterday had an excellent article talking about the fact that for the foreseeable future, the bread and butter in Vegas is going to be gamblers as the billions that Vegas has made in recent years on concerts, clubs, etc. etc. just isn't going to be happening again at pre-Covid levels for some time. Any hotel should have been all over this, and definitely Aria and even more so with respect to the Sky Suite. It's a PITA for you to restate the details of your room experience but if I were your host I'd want to know about that part of your Aria experience.

The $25 was very stingy. We upgraded from a regular room to a sky suite room (not a suite; they have regular rooms that connect to suites on those floors) so we could use the Sky Pool (cheaper than paying the daily fee; cheaper than a Sky Suite) and found the room still occupied. No one was in it; but their stuff was still there. They gave us $150 in credit for that.

On a much happier note, congrats on the baccarat wins, Yellowtail experience and getting that beautiful wallet. It doesn't happen to me often but I love buying something special or having a cool experience in Vegas after a big win. I have some Hermes scarves that are less expensive versions of such gifts from wins. I love the scarves because of their beauty but I also have an extra wide smile when I wear them because of the memories associated with how I wound up being able to buy them as I wouldn't buy Hermes scarves in the normal course.

Enjoying your report and don't worry about us! Just have a good time and share when you feel like it!

Great report! Very happy to hear your review of Salt & Ivy. I always love a chance for breakfast outdoors and was wanti to try S & I the next time we stay at Aria.

How odd to hear of a line to get into any place at Crystals. I'm sure it's because of Covid occupancy restrictions, but I've never seen any of those places overly crowded.

That’s too bad regards suite experience I’m surprised she offered you $25 resort credit (?) wow she should have just switched the room! Regardless winning is important which seems like you are doing very well. Go get em!

Based on trip reports from multiple sites we may be underestimating the able-bodied mobility scooter revenue. It must be substantial as the city and law enforcement seem to be turning a blind eye /sarcasm.

I've stayed at Aria a number of times and am not surprised by any of this (had the multiple people assigned to one room thing last year). I'm not sure the Sky Suites should even have a $25 resort credit as an option, but in the past they have usually done better. If I hadn't mentioned something during my stay or was still unhappy with my experience, I used the post-trip survey to voice my concerns and was always at least contacted back. In your case OP, speaking with your host would probably be even more beneficial.

I just caught up with this trip report. It is rare to see a Hi-limit baccarat player post on the TR's. Love it. Aria was my go-to place to stay and play and I stayed at the Panoramic Penthouse Suite for a few years after it was open (2010ish?). It was a baller room with no complaints. I once had Sammy Farha at the bacc table with me in the Aria hi-limit room. He had $75k with him and was in a sour mood when he came to the table. He was losing more after a few bets and ended up yelling at the dealer for how she flipped over some cards (hand held game) before he asked for them to be turned over. LOL. He's an ass.

I look forward to hearing about more wins and seeing more chip porn. Good luck!
