This is exactly what I've been hearing everywhere. Masks even in cabana's and lounger's. Masks only off when in the actual pool. Doesn't matter if you're socially distanced or not.

I think many do not truly understand "social distancing," and to avoid a possible shutdown again Vegas hoteliers/casino operators have figured out they need to clamp down. It's like people thinking about renting a cabana because it is "distanced" but then filling it with people/friends/family with whom they don't reside. That remains the main disconnect in all of this, and particularly by the younger demographic.

For what it's worth I argued with myself up until the last minute and went. It was a mistake. The crowd is rough, the fun limited, the mood weird. There will be more health info shared out about LV visitors before many of you visit. That should help make a final decision. Gonna just wait until the world is normal to go again. My wife and I are 'camping' this weekend. She claims it will be fun. I'm bringing burbon.

I’m still going to make it out in two weeks. Same situation here in Texas I have a mask on everywhere I go, so nothing different. My kids start virtual school mid August so this will be a good mental health get away before I start assisting them with their work. I’m going to focus on washing my hands, wiping down my room and social distancing.

Well it looks like I’m canceling my trip August 25-29 after reading Wynn/ Encore is basically shutting down mid weeks according to an article in the LVRJ this morning starting this week. It sounds like they’ll be on very limited services & no reservations taken so it’ll be a “ghost town” for all intents & purposes. The news is not getting better!

As of now, I don’t think I’ll be going this year (the 1 st time since Wynn opened in 2005). Maybe I’ll go to the Beau in late October for my birthday (unless we all get hit with a hurricane or locust invasion!” The way things are happening)

I think we’re in for it the rest of the year with this COVD

Sorry mansam! This is disappointing to hear since I’ve been all on the Wynn train for my dates in late August. Next plan would be V/P or may test out the SkySuite upgrade at Aria. But... I can’t help feeling this is a sign.

@Jer, I agree. V/P will & is following so that may not be an option for you either. Wit services h the added bad news from California & even AZ I think Wynn & Sands know something the other casinos don't or they're just wishful thinking or hoping like all of us on this board have been. With all the closings of services in Vegas, there's just not any point going there until this Virus retreats & if it's going to get even worse by Fall/Winter I don't see Vegas really coming back in the near months ~ at least nothing it "normally" is. The next step will be AZ & Cal people won't be driving here on weekends & that will be the last step to stay open.

You probably saw, I canceled for this Saturday. Rebooked for late August, but I am somewhat doubtful that will happen.

Man... Starting to waver. Trying to stay positive but that little voice is really going off right now. Worst case like others have said is to save the bankroll and plan on later in the year.

I am at Encore now. Not sure what spin that article was going for, but things are fine. The weekend crowds come from CA ( or as one dealer said, the covid crew), but if you stay Tues-Thurs you will see families with small kids in the pool and eating at Terrace Pointe Cafe.

The overall vibe in the casino is different. Encore casino floor was dead. Most of the action was on the Wynn side.

I cancelled my August trip last week as well. In addition to what's clearly going on it seems like countless folks who've gone are stating "if you want a remotely normal Vegas, you may want to wait". At a point I threw in the towel. Vegas will be there again and at some point, it will be back to normal. But clearly not now.

I'm going in September, unless they shut everything down. I sooo need this trip! I just did a trip to Nashville, and then to Caesars SI all with masks and social distancing, and yes it's a pain. But it's doable!

I'm not ready to cancel either. My Vegas is early morning gambling and some food. I like concerts and bars but they aren't necessary. I avoid crowds normally, so if the planes are in the air, the hotels are open and everyone is acting a safe manner, I'll be there. Even working from a hotel room with a view of the strip will be a welcome change.

I'm hoping things get better in the next 30 days of course but as long as it's not bad enough to close the casinos, I'm still planning.

Currently at 70-30 still going. Booked this in January for 50th bday. Lots of pros/cons but all considered would stilll rather be in vegas despite strict mask control, "rough" crowds, closed bars, scooter mayhem, etc etc. Still can get drunk every day, gamble, admire lack of clothing, eat good food, etc etc.

Great to get another on-the-ground Wynncore report. Any other observations? I hope to be at Encore in 8 weeks. Being dead/quiet on the Encore side is totally fine by me, especially if that also includes the Encore pool area.

I just pulled the plug on my trip. This trip was my last opportunity to use a couple of nights thanks to Wynn Slots. Will save the gems for 2021. Kinda bummed but without most bars open, masks at pools, no spa amenities, and no shows, there's not much of a reason for me to visit right now. Looking forward to booking a trip as soon as things pick up again.
