That's a big "no." Think of the tan lines on your face after a few minutes.

Regarding the mask policy at the pool, I will be renting a lounger at Paris and it is my understanding that lounges are kept 6' apart and cannot be moved. I'm going solo, so I should have no issues social distancing with anyone. I wear a sun hat regardless, so I don't expose my face to the sun (gotta try to keep myself looking young!). I do have anxiety when I can't breathe well and I think the biggest issue for me will be the heat *plus* the mask which could trigger a panic attack...however, I have a face mask that is very sheer which allows for significantly more air flow. Before everyone starts schooling me on safer masks, keep in mind everything I outlined above as far as being able to stay 6 ' apart from people with no issue AND I am fully aware I may be approached to wear a different mask and will certainly comply in that instance. If it's too anxiety-inducing I will just leave the pool area and retreat to my air conditioned room for a bit. I'm not in any way trying to put undue stress on the staff. All that to say, I think there are ways to enjoy the pool even in the current circumstances. But, every person will have a different threshold for what they consider to be too restrictive, though.

***I am absolutely not advocating for people to wear unsafe masks in the casinos or where they can't socially distance. Please don't interpret my post that way.***

Yikes! Wearing a mask while laying out on a lounge chair will probably cause me to pull the plug on my August trip. Is the spa fully open at Wynn (steam room, hot tubs, sauna)?

Also in the same boat with you not wanting to gamble the whole time. I'd cancel the trip now, but I'm slightly bummed about losing my "free" Wynn nights from the Wynn Slots game.

I'll be in town unless they shut it down.

@sybgal that's so sad my heart goes out to you.

Im waiting patiently and thinking positively. Like others, I could really use this get away from the daily grind. I’m going to be smart about it, but I’ll fight that until the bitter end. I need a Woodford and a baccarat table, stat!

I'm "essential" and around at least 200 people a day, been masked since early March and do I ever need this trip to unwind a bit. Cheers!

Just noticed our trips might overlap. Hope we get cooler than usual temperatures while we're there!

Same with my wife, Octane. Not as many daily contacts but a considerable amount of people each and every day. Vegas isn't on our interest list at this time but getting away -- safely, distanced -- is a MUST at this time, and we're making sure to be out as we can. So whatever people are choosing to do to keep their sanity is a good thing (and if that's with strict stay-at-home, that's a good thing, too). Props to all essential workers keeping us all going.

Just cancelled our August trip, but not by choice. New work policy would require me to self quarantine for 10 days without pay (or burn ten more vacation days I guess) after any air travel. Employees who can work from home (all the people making the policies) are exempt of course. I can do about 20% of my job from home so that isn't an option. Wife isn't too pleased right now, but it's too long of a drive and I don't really want to risk forgetting to mention the air travel to try to skip the quarantine.

WE have 3 days before our mid august trip to cancel our Hotel and airfare so this is going to be two weeks of emotions.

The mask policy at the pool is geared toward making sure people are wearing them, and wearing them properly (ie nose and mouth covered). Highly doubt that they would be policing the type of mask, or material. Just my opinion. You'll be fine, don't sweat it :D

Question: curious, how were you able to rent a lounger at Paris? I thought they only rented the cabanas and villas. At least that's what they told me a few weeks back, when I inquired.

It's available on their pool website on the reservations page.

I have verified at Flamingo, Paris & Bellagio that masks are required when walking around the pool area but since the loungers are spaced....no masks needed if sun bathing or in the pool.....

We rented a cabana last Thursday at the Venus Pool at Caesars Palace. You had to wear a mask unless you were physically in the pool. They were politely enforcing this rule throughout the day. Even if you were lounging in or just outside of your cabana, you still needed the mask.
