This is a fun thread! I already posted my travel times. When we got married at the Chapel of the Flowers in 2007 friends of the hubby drove out from Austin. No thanks, not when I can be there in less than 3 hours! I spent several summers as a kid traveling with my dad from Texas stopping all over the place all the way up to Detroit and back, he would schedule calling on clients over a couple weeks period. I’ve seen enough of the countryside by car. Now flying someplace cool and renting a car for a couple hour excursion, I’m in!

    Happy birthday to me!

    Great Thread!
2721 miles from home to Carnaval Court at Harrahs. Driving I can be there in 1 day and 18 hours. If bars were open I would be flying there Wednesday though. Much easier than driving. :D

About a dozen clicks and a phone call.

Edit: Oh, physical distance... 1 hr 30 min (usually a bit less) by air. Or 8 hr 30 min by car but have never driven there from home.

2,710 miles (40 hours) to the Mirage.

Edit to add: I've mapped out a driving/poker trip to Vegas before. Taking about 5 days, with a stop at Parx (outside Philly), Hollywood (Columbus Oh), Hollywood (St. Louis, MO), possibly a shorter hop to Kansas City, then someplace in Colorado (possibly Golden Gates outside Boulder), then onto the Mirage. Maybe when I retire.

2,009 miles and 30h drive from Michigan

I've been trying to convince wife to take the trip since July 1st....3 days inside a car each way is hard to sell.....And plane is not an option for me during our current situation, so we stay at home.

325 miles door-to-door from San Diego to the Mirage self park. Best time so far was two years ago in the fall, left my house on a Sunday at 3 in the morning, was in the Mirage sports book at 7:15, ready for NFL bets. Of course I had to take a 2-hour midday nap, but still fun!

2231 miles to Caesars' Apollo pool.

I considered doing it earlier this month, but my back can only take 6-8 hours of driving if it's 2 or more consecutive days. I'd still like to make the drive someday. Going I-40 one way and I-70 the other.

So, a quick google search says it's 970 miles. I've always stopped on the Central Coast of California overnight and then continued on. My plans are still the same in less than two weeks now. I guess I'm rolling the dice but, as a solo traveler, I plan on having very little to do with anyone. It's time for my annual trek to the Raintree, as long as the Wynn doesn't close down between now and then. I'm excited, yet I know this trip will be very different.
