My last hope is late October but honestly I am already planning for the Spring 2021.

Everyone was well behaved on our visit to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut last week. Could be an option. Encore in Boston is opening with restrictions too. The remainder of the year will be sketchy for sure.

It sucks! I just got the reminder to check in for my flight that I cancelled. Hopefully next month for you!

I thought I was relatively safe booking a new years cruise back in March or early April, and the no-sail orders keep getting closer and closer to my dates. If they extend it just one more time, that will probably cancel our existing new years plans.

As far as Vegas, it was different but still fun and still a nice distraction when I was there last week, but bars and some bar tops were still open, and even though I normally use neither, I have used them on both of my post-re-opening trips. I can totally understand hesitancy about going now. I have rooms booked for labor day, but not buying a flight yet until I see what plays out over the next couple weeks. And @EastCoastVegasFan! - if my experience last weekend was any indication, this isnt a good time for your first stay at Caesars Palace. It's usually tied for my favorite place to stay, and I really didnt care for it last weekend. The closures plus the people they moved in from other properties made it a very abnormal and not overly pleasant experience. I was glad to leave it after 3 days.

Have not rescheduled my April trip.
Tentatively waiting for the Va....e (don't know if I'm allowed to say that hear).
I will be first in line and discard my masks when the inject me. Screw the side effects if any.
There is discussion that it may be fall. Hoping for December.

There is a reason not to rush development. From personal experience, in the early 1970's, while I was attending college, I worked for three years at a County nursing home. Every Fall during Flu Shot Season, we lost patients. Flu shots were not as safe as they are now. When it came time that I was of an age to warrant one, my doctor guaranteed me they are were much safer in the 1990's, procedures had changed.

    Completely agree.
Being in the medical business and in hospitals every day , I have been forced to get a flu shot for 20+ years.
The newer more stringent ,multi phase testing done should mitigate most of the worst side effects.
After this 90+ day Groundhog Day rerun , I'm ready to take on the risks of potential side effects and get traveling again.

Cancelled late July and mid August comped hotels. No commercial flights for me right now so no worries about that cost. Bankroll is building up.

We cancelled March and now July — hoping for a weekend getaway in October although I would much rather be there during the week. Guessing it will be next spring before we actually get there. I’m okay, I guess, now that the decision has been made. Most of the places we love to eat aren’t open, and our favorite casinos aren’t either; that helped make our decision. We’ll just stay local for awhile and probably just keep building bankroll by staying home. Crazy times we are living in....

I don't understand why anyone who lives near the best casino on earth in MGM National Harbor would be sad at cancelling a Vegas trip :)

I am looking forward to going out for the Circa opening in late October and hope nothing happens to derail the opening and also hope that things are more back to normal by then.

Already dropped a June trip and now Sept is a goner, as well. Opted for a road trip to rural Des Moines for a 100-mile race instead. Seemed safer and more fun than going to Vegas for Labor Day weekend.

I'm hoping for September but if casino bars aren't open, shows aren't open, limited restaurants and everyone treating each other like lepers it won't be worth it. It won't be a vacation for me. Still keeping my fingers crossed.

Have exact same schedule and also going to Aria next week---we are still pushing this one thru despite restrictions and have added golf to make up for pool Switched from Bellagio to Aria for better floor selection with bar tops closed. I am fully expecting Vegas to be completely closed down by the time our August/Sept/Oct trips roll around, and not reopened til next summer again.

We were scheduled for late August but cancelled. With so many restrictions the cost of the trip wouldn’t be worth it. We want drinks on our 4 hour flight and not have to wear masks (although we do now when out and about).Thinking the “joy factor” of the trip would be greatly diminished by having to also wear masks at the casinos. Received E-credits from Delta good till 9/22. Sure as heck hope things are more “like normal” by then. We normally go twice a year but haven’t been since last August. Fingers crossed for spring of 2021 for us! If you go ....have a blast and good luck!

So I canceled my 7/4 trip due to a few factors, but just booked 8/26-8/29. Completely nervous, and almost positive I’m going to get the email in the next couple weeks saying it ain’t happening. Good luck to all with well deserved trips coming up!

I was under the impression that you were ok in your groups when seated as long as distanced, but had to use the mask when going to/from the pool and moving around the pool areas etc.

I called Caesars, they were very specific with their rules. Not sure if this varies from the official guidance from the Governor. But, here are my notes:

    • You have to wear a mask when going to the pool/cabana/lounge chair.
    • One you've settled in, you may remove it. Which means you can sun bathe in the sun without a mask.
    • If you're swimming you obviously don't have to wear it
    • If you're in the pool, and properly distanced (6ft from someone) you don't have to wear it.
    • When you're leaving the pool, or if you're just strolling around the pool, you must wear it.

ok thank you for this @EastCoastVegasFan! and @Marky147. like for many vegas started at 60-80 cents on the dollar with the reopening and that value is just being slowly chipped away further.
