Book it! You are a gambler aren't you???? You will get used to wearing masks when you are indoors in no time. Drinks will still be served in the pits and at the tables. I am willing to bet that Vegas at 1/2 speed is still better than a locals casino in your home state at 100%.

I do think a car rental isn't a terrible idea though.... They should be cheap. I did a one way rental for a week from Vegas-Reno and it only cost me $327 Canadian so about $220 US.

they close down, they close down.. all the hotel will say is goverment orders.. and walk you out.
so take the chance on vegas or dont.. I am leaning with the more rational and not even thinking of booking vegas till late 2021

You are right about how they would close down. And it is taking a chance. But i disagree that "rational" is waiting until late 2021. That's actually irrational because it's not based on anything concrete that you have mentioned. It's an arbitrary time frame. Did you mean: rational people would wait a lot longer? I think rational people weigh the pros and cons of their own situation while also taking precautions.

Cageet, I see you're leaving for Wynn in a day ~ Curious~ You still plan on going even though the drink situation, restaurant, pool, & obviously masks all the time? ANy thought of canceling to a later date if things get better in 4 weeks?

Yup. Still plan on going. The only thing I am debating is whether or not to write a trip report.

Don't know how much you plan on traveling over the next year, and not to be a shill for Southwest, but their no change fee and cancellation policies could help you out. I was there in March when it became obvious they would eventually shutdown and I just booked a flight home every other night (book Sat and Mon, rebook Sat to Wed when things stayed open, and so on) and then finally cancelled the last one I didn't use. I was doing it on points, but even if you bought the tickets there's no change fee and worst case you'd get a credit on the flight you didn't take which would be good for a year.

Oh this is a great idea! I am a tad worried about getting the boot when I’m there in August. While i think it’s unlikely, this will put my mind at ease.

Ladies getaway, somewhere on the strip with a pool :)
