Lately on VMB I've seen some nicknames for current and former properties. For example, "Slots of Scum" and "The Dirty Bird" which I assume is the Flamingo. I'd like to add a couple of my own:

    "Dumperial Palace"
    "Inferior Palace" (both Imperial Palace)
"San Ream-You" (The old San Remo)

Anybody care to add to the list ?

One of my wife's friends hates the Luxor, and calls it the "Suxor".

    Flaming-o

A bit of a tangent, but I call the buffet at the Flamingo the Parasite Garden Buffet. At dinner there once a long time ago and got real sick afterwards. Another time as my wife and I were approaching the Spice Market Buffet in PH, I called it a "Barfay" by mistake, and it has kind of stuck ever since. I now call the Flamingo buffet the "Parasite Garden Barfay".

I have heard blackjack players refer to El Cortez as the Sweaty Spaniard.

Casino nicknames/abbreviated names that I have used over the years (and still do, with some of them):
Some are obvious... I'll make a note for the others.
    Ho
    Riv
    Dust
    Coast (as in Barbary)
    Mah-Rah-Gee (Bugs Bunny reference)
Honk-Honk (referring to a large, red clown's nose)
    Slipper
    Stupe's
    Trop
    Lux
Picket Line (one casino south of the Dust)

...and, many of the downtown properties have short-hand abbreviations:
    Nugget-Gate-ElCo-Cal-MSS-DTG
...and, in the past: LVC & the Shoe...oh, and we always called Glitter Gulch: "ZOUNDS!" :(marquee reference). re: this old photo:

Even though over the years i have had some success there, we still refer to it as "Bad luck Ballys", from our first visit where it was brutal.

I had really hoped Derek Stevens would have gone a different direction naming Circa. He already had The D......why not The V?

Locally, the casino employees (of all properties) regularly refer to the local Horseshoe as "The Shoe", but it's never caught on with the general public.

Is that the casino or the Mickey Dees's right out of the side door by Casino Royale? 3 sausage Mcmuffins no egg and a (free) endlessly fillable water cup. Cheapest gut filling breakfast on the strip. Can I get 6 packs of hot sauce with that, please. Pretty good for hangover, too.
